what is the best resort to stay in when bringing along a 1 yr old, we'll be going to mk, epcot and dd proberly will like to fun stuff around resort, were going to go very slow this time a play it by ear, thanks!!!

We have young children and have always found it great to be on the monorail. Those resorts are the Grand Floridian, the Polynesian, and the Contemporary. They are pricey but the convience of a short monorail ride back to your room for naps is great!

If money is not a big issue then I recommend the Poly for sure. It has a nice relaxing atmosphere and is great for kids. We"ve stayed at the GF and the Poly and prefer the Poly. We're going with our 1 year in May! Have fun!

With a 1yo you will really appreciate being able to get on the monorail and taken to your hotel from both MK and Epcot.
And of the three hotels on the monorail system I would have to agree and say the Poly is the most relaxing.

Aloooooohaa

If money is no object I would recommend a Home Away from Home Resort. Perhaps a 1 or 2 bedroom villa at Beach Club Villas or Boardwalk Villas. This way you will have a living room and seperate bedroom and you can relax in the evening while not disturbing the baby. Plus you will have a full kitchen which can come in handy to keep juice, milk and all the wonderful little things that babies need. The Beach Club Villas are very close to Epcot (walking distance) and have an awesome pool area with sand bottoms and everything.

Definitely stay on the Monorail! I found the CR to be extremely convenient in terms of the MK. I don't think it has a good toddler pool though.

If you do choose the polynesian, and a balcony is important to you, be sure to make that one of your first requests! Many of the buildings have patios on the first floor, and a balcony on the third, but nothing on the second.

With a little one, it is nice to have a place to relax during naps or after bedtime. If we can't have 2 rooms, we like to have a balcony or patio.

I think I agree with Sgt Disney - go with a one bedroom at BWV or BCV - you will be in the middle of the action and you will have some space for the family - if you rent points on the rent/trade board especially for Sun-Thurs you would probably pay similar to what GF/Poly would be

Thanks
Jason

When our daughter turned one we stayed at the BC. We went in May and the MK was not open late so we knew that we would be at Epcot more. At 1 my daughter just enjoyed riding in her stroller and looking around. It really did not matter what park she was at! Being near Epcot allowed us to have a large selection of restaurants. This was a very easy trip because she was easy to keep entertained and she would occasionally sleep in the stroller. I think being on the monorail is more important with toddlers.
