We are/were looking for 5 studios for an August stay over a long weekend. A mix of little kids/grandparents/cousins(couples) so trying to figure out the easiest way to do this. We are doing Epcot and MK and would like a monorail/walkable/skyliner resort so we don't have to deal with busses as much and folding the strollers.

My immediate family is also 2 adults and 3 kids(one infant) so I need a bit more space, which is why we usually stay at the poly with the pack and play in the one bathroom.

Any other options that might be a better fit?

For your family of five, one bedroom at Boardwalk.
but beach club is very nice so maybe all at Beach Club?

Boardwalk is great. Stayed there last summer with my little kids. Loved the location.

As far as MK specific, Poly probably is a good choice since you don't want to worry about folding things up for the bus/boat. Otherwise I would have recommended Wilderness Lodge but the boat to MK might deter you. My kids loved it and we didn't find it a hassle. We did not have to fold up the stroller.

For monorail and proximity, I love Bay Lake Towers and Grand Floridian. When my son was a baby and only in stroller that was my preference. We love the 2BR rooms. In BLT, you even get an extra full bath.

I second VGF, with little kids, especially if they bring back the buffet/character meals at 1900 Park Fare. Real problem will be getting the 5 studios at any resort.

Poly isn't bad since it only has studios, and most have connecting doors. Easiest resort at MK to hop on the Epcot monorail since you can walk to it.

I would recommend at least one 1 BR along with your studios so you will have a gathering space with a LR, DR and kitchen. It will also provide you laundry.

Last fall we ended up with a 2 BR for DH and I and two studios, one for son and DIL and the other for friends. It was better than a 3 BRGV. We were at OKW and were in buildings on either side of Miller's Road quiet pool. We've learned over four decades to give everyone space and be flexible with plans when possible. Enjoy your planning!

I agree. Even though it's DH and me, we find the 1br much more livable.

Those studio "beverage coolers" are worthless when you like to keep ice cream in the room. And, the in-room washer/dryer would be a lifesaver with little kids. But, bring detergent pods and dryer sheets. That Ecos detergent isn't that good, and there's no fabric softener provided.

I second the comments above. Suggest 1 bedroom at Bay Lake Tower for at least one of the rooms. That second full bathroom is handy to have. The walk to Magic Kingdom is so easy. You guys might be able to watch some fireworks. Monorail is close by. Food is decent and if the kids are little, pool is sufficient.

My best advice, FWIW, is to see what DVC accommodations are available for your dates and go from there. For 5 studios, as others have suggested, Poly might be your best option. I do agree a 1BR in the mix would be smart, it's so nice to have a washer and dryer available at anytime. A studio has access to laundry, but you have to watch it and make sure you take it out in time. In a 1BR or larger, you can leave it for as long as you want! And a full kitchen can come in handy.
