So sad to see Animal Kingdom Lodge go, but tough to argue against the glory that is Beach Club. Poly continues to dominate. And Port Orleans maintains its standing as best moderate!

Can the Beach Club take down the Poly?? Keep on votin'!

Polynesian Village vs. Beach Club

PortOrleans: Riverside vs. PortOrleans: French Quarter

Wow - first one is really tough for me

I'll have to give it to the Poly for being iconic, and all immersive theming, regardless of how much I love the Beach Club. Poly's earned it.

Second one is MUCH easier for me - POFQ hands down - gorgeous, all immersive theming, way cool food court (with real crue floats!), spectacular gardens, and a totally manageable footprint.

Hmm first one is really tough but I've never stayed at the poly so I have to go Beach Club since I have stayed there.

Port Orleans Riverside!

Beach Club
It's so much easier to stumble home drunk from R&C to the BC than try to find a monorail or two

PortOrleans: French Quarter
beignets is all that needs to be said

You're absolutely correct, PJ - yummm......beignets...... :) (Why did I hear Homer Simpson's voice in my mind?) :)

BC (love being able to walk to both Epcot and HS)

Riverside just because the clown scares me.

You mean the Mardi Gras jester @ POFQ Doubloon Lagoon pool? Or are you thinking of the "scary clown slide" at Boardwalk maybe?

Beach club (gosh this is hard!! I love The Poly too, I'd like to declare a tie!)
French quarter ( so quaint and cozy, the only other resort I love as much as Deluxes).

This is tough.
All my accom decisions for Disney are based on location/accessibility, so both match ups are hard.

I prefer the YC theming over the BC, but who can argue with the location and storm along bay regardless of that? But I do like me a good poly theme (mainly since I went to Fiji last year so now it feels familiar to me and I have a soft spot for that style.)
But accessibility wins, so BC.

And again, while they're sister resorts, and FQ is smaller, therefore more accessible, I did book at POR (only for the Royal room) so I guess that makes my descision for me. POR.
