Hoping to hit up WDW with one of my besties for maybe 3 nights. Priorities are

* Nice place to chill (lounges, pool, etc)
* Park time but willing to splurge for an after hours event
* Easy access to eating, snacking, and some drinking
*Ease of doing multiple things each day and still get back to the resort to freshen up (park/resort hop etc)
*Room must have 2 beds, and willing to upgrade to club level depending on resort and price

Not as important things are

*transportation (not afraid of uber)
*proximity to any particular park (although this is coming from a tried and true crescent lake resort girl)

Any suggestions? We would definitely hit up each park at least once and a trip to DS

BWI CL is excellent or YC but we prefer BWI. We like the atmosphere of the BW. Also it's really fun to do a crescent lake bar crawl....I may have some experience with that with my best friends

Oooooops .... I'm not one of the girls but thrilled to know I'm in great DIS company. Nicole / Erica / Richard (me) have checked all your boxes with Boardwalk!!! You can walk or boat to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Disney transportation to everywhere is excellent from here. The pool area is more 'adult' and nicely tucked away in the back. At the end of the Boardwalk you got Jellyrolls and Atlantic Dance Hall. Ask / ask / ask ~ plead you case for a second room over-looking the Boardwalk with a balcony. We got one and it added a fun dimension to the escape. DS is So Much Fun at Nite. Okay ~ and just 1 thing ~ be generous to yourselves, stay do 4 nights ~ and DON'T go on a weekend. Please let us know where you decide and when you're going because, damn ~ we don't want to get in your way!!! Enjoy the Magic Ladies

Boardwalk would be great, but also consider Poly. Trader Sam's is my favorite bar on property to sit/relax/people watch, plus access to all the monorail resorts, MK, and Epcot is very convenient.

Sounds like you’re looking at the Deluxe resorts? My picks would be Yacht Club in EPcot area. Plenty of everything in that area.
Or a monorail Resort, Poly or GF. We also love WL.

For a moderate resort I’d pick POR Riverside or Caribbean Beach.

I'd go for the Beach Club or the Yacht Club! In my opinion - BEST pool of the resorts! Lots of great dining options too! Poly would also be GORGEOUS!

Yacht Club, it's my favorite resort on property. Walking to two parks so easy to pop back to the resort for pool/bar time. Great vib. But really, I'd stay anywhere in the Epcot resorts, I've stayed at them all and love them all.

I agree with the recommendations for an Epcot resort. Lots of fun eating and drinking in the World Showcase. While you're checking out the Epcot resorts, take a look at the Swan & Dolphin. They can be priced much lower than the Disney resorts. Since Marriott took over Starwood, they aren't always much lower, but they can be. Great restaurants, bars and my favorite pool on property.

YC/BC/BWI/Swan & Dolphin. I would definitely go for an Epcot resort. They are all very nice. BC/YC is/are my favorite.

I am agreeing with the Epcot resort idea. I was just making sure I was not biased. My friend mentioned staying once at a resort with animals outside the windows that she thought was cool. But I know AKL is pretty far away from everything. And I’d only go to AKL CL. Since we are both from Jersey I think she’d enjoy the theming of Crescent Lake resorts

The AKL CL rooms aren't on the same floor as the lounge. I had a CL room for two nights last December, and had to take two elevators, and a fair amount of walking. I wouldn't book CL at AKL again. I know a lot of people love AKL, but for me...one and done.

Boardwalk, YC/BC, and Swan/Dolphin meet most of your criteria. Its easy to get between the resorts for dining and evening entertainment options, and if you have park hoppers, its easy access to Epcot for even more dining options. Jellyrolls at Boardwalk is a lot of fun for adults with the dueling pianos. And you're close to the Skyliner, so easy access to the other resorts on the Skyliner as well.

Another option that came to mind is Saratoga Springs. I believe the Congress Park section is in the preferred booking category which would put you close to the walking path to Disney Springs. Being in such close proximity to DS gives you a lot more dining options and adult oriented things to do, and its open later.

The last resort I would recommend is Coronado Springs. The Gran Destino Tower if you can swing it. CSR caters to business travelers so its more adult oriented with more amenities, lounges, etc. I would caution to check your dates against any conventions that may be going on because we have found the lounges can get quiet busy in the evening if they have convention attendees staying there. CSR would be the cheapest option of the ones I've mentioned as well, unless you're able to rent DVC points.

I think any one of the monorail resorts would be fun - bar hopping along the monorail loop!

I think any one of the monorail resorts would be fun - bar hopping along the monorail loop!

I was thinking that as a possibility too. Since we can monorail to Epcot and hit up the boardwalk area and skyline to HS

ETA - it will prolly come down to cost but I do think we’d be better off in a deluxe

If it were me, I would pick the Polynesian, Coronado Springs, or Saratoga Springs.

Nice place to chill (lounges, pool, etc): Coronado Springs has three new lounges (Three Rivers, Barcelona, and Dahlia) all of which my friends and I really enjoyed! And the ambiance is great with the Latin music playing in the resort area. The only downside of Coronado is the lack of a proximate park- but if you are willing to take a ride share, its actually quicker to get around I think.

Easy access to eating, snacking, and some drinking: Saratoga Springs is walkable to Disney Springs which is just priceless and the pools are actually kinda nice. Near the walkway to Disney Springs there is a 24 hour pool. I wore a bathing suit under a sundress one night for dinner and drinks at Disney Springs and hit up the pool on the way back to Saratoga. There were a lot of people at the pool and it was rather fun. The Polynesian has Trader Sams, which is my favorite bar in the world, and the ability to do a monorail crawl to places at the Contemporary and Grand Floridian is super fun.

I also love the Boardwalk and Beach Club, but not sure if it would be my choice for a girls weekend if pools were on my list. Stormalong bay is just full of loud kids and that clown pool at the Boardwalk is just downright disturbing.
