Best resort for 2 couples, no kids, 1 weekend?

I'd pick Contemporary it's a hop, skip, and jump from MK. It has a great atmosphere and you can't really go wrong with the view. Also, the rooms are the best on property, in my opinion.

You're right, some of the best views! And the other husband is a history buff so he might appreciate the historical significance to Disney.

Boardwalk is a very fun area, but AKL is very romantic and quiet. We would sit on our balcony some nights and open a bottle of wine. We love animals though. We had a great time at ESPN for football and jellyrolls for dueling pianos. Poly is also beautiful and fireworks at the beach are also very memorable.

I would do Yacht Club. It's definitely the most "adult" resort in WDW, and the convenience to the Epcot/DHS/Boardwalk area is great.

Polynesian is great (super romantic, great restaurants, great bar) with direct access to the monorail and is a 5 min walk to the ticket and transportation center which makes the transportation very easy and fast.

That would be my choice for a short stay
