Best Resort Christmas displays

I will be going to Disney in mid-December and I would love to be able to look at some of the best Christmas trees/displays that the resorts have to offer.

I will be staying at POR and I know from previous trips that they just have a big tree in the foyer, but I've seen pictures of GF and Contemporary's gingerbread houses.

Which ones are the best and ones I should definitely check out?

The YC has a pretty tree, decorations and a model train set up in the lobby which, if you look closely, has several places from around the resort in it. The BC has a chocolate carousel which is also pretty neat.

From pictures and things I have read, GF is the best, with their lifesize gingerbread house in the lobby. Wilderness Lodge is supposed to be beautiful with it's forest like setting and tree. Contemporary also has a gingerbread scene, but I don't think it's quite as cool as GF. Beach Club has a gingerbread, I think, carousel. For convenience, it's probably easier to just hit the MK monorail resorts, GF, Contempo, and then boat to Wilderness Lodge. That's our plan anyway.

My favorites are GF, BC, YC and AKL. BWI usually has a nice display also. WL has a huge Christmas tree in the lobby. Really can't go wrong with any of the resorts, they all have Christmas decor up. Have fun.

GF is probably #1 for us w/giant gingerbread house and huge tree as well as carolers and a band in the evenings. WL and AKL are both beautiful with their large trees and decor. BC is also nice w/chocolate carousel. Depending on where you will be you could see these during trips to the parks - hop on monorail to GF on a MK or Epcot day or if you plan a meal there, or take boat to WL from MK(or if you have a meal there or at Ft.Wilderness). While at Epcot in World Showcase, you can walk out the International Gateway and go into Beach Club lobby, and can take the bus from AK to AKL in about 5 min. Our favorite time of the year at WDW - enjoy!

The GF is one of the nicest, and definitely most popular. It'd be super easy to hit up all the monorail resorts from MK, and from the Contemporary, take the boat over to Wilderness Lodge, an easy way to hit up all 4 MK resorts!

AKL is another one of my favorites, it's a bit out of the way though.

Otherwise, I recommend taking in the Boardwalk area resorts: BW, Yacht & Beach Clubs, they're really nice too!

GF is definitely the most impressive. CR has a super cute Frozen gingerbread display. The trees at WL and AKL are really nice as well. In the EP area, our favorite display is at BWI. They have a life-size gingerbread house, beautiful decorations and a big tree on the village green.

Our favorite during the holidays is the WL, followed by the GF and BC/YC/BWI.

i love the WL and the GF. They are both beautiful! The scent of gingerbread when you enter the lobby is amazing!
