I want to make reservations at California grill at a good time to also see wishes while we are there. What do you suggest for a reservation time to time it right? thanks. WE will be there end of Nov. to beginning of December if that matters.

the CM's at disney dining should be able to help you with this -- they should have a list of when the fireworks are scheduled for each day so you can schedule your dinner at the right time.

Really? I didn't know that! I'm thinking I need to call back for an earlier time.

The night I'm going, Wishes is at 9:00 and my ADR is for 8:00. I'm afraid people will get there at 7:00 and not leave until after Wishes is over.

Anyone have any thoughts/experience with this?

We have also made an ADR at CG to watch Wishes. I asked the CM when would be the best time and she recommended 8pm so I booked it then.

Honestly, I would try to do it a little earlier than 8 pm (if Wishes is at 9 pm) but that's just me. I made my ADR for 7:20. I figure I will request a window seat then and tell them I am prepared to wait for it. Even if I got seated precisely at 7:20, I am sure between drinks, appetizers, dinner and dessert I will be there til well past 9 pm.

You might be able to see the Holiday Wishes if it's that time of year.

We had our wedding rehearsal dinner there last year on December 28th. We were in one of the corner rooms. Our dinner, etc., started at 7:00pm. The cocktail hour went a bit longer thna it should have so the fireworks ended up being between the salad and entree instead of entree and dessert. No one was the least bit bothered by it.

Figure out what time Wishes is (usually 9, I think...) and make your reservation for about an hour ahead of time. That seem to me like your appetizer entree would be finished. Worst case, it's not and if the timing is slowed down a bit, see if the server will hold the food in the kitchen until after the show. Don't forget that you can venture out onto the catwalks- it was really chilly all the way up there last year though!

Have a wonderful meal!!
xoxo
