Hello all,
We are going for 10 days but I need to rent a car to pick up at airport to get some groceries and drinks and to use to go to Mass on Saturday to avoid using a cab for both things. I was thinking or returning it Sunday morning. I know that there is adrop off by MK. Any help in deciding which company to use would be helpfull!
Thanks as always :)

Alamo/National are located at the CCC and the Dolphin hotel, the location at the CCC will pick you up at your resort, the Dolphin location does not provide that service.

There is also a Dollar rental location at the Wyndham resort across the street from DTD, I'm not sure if they offer the pick up service, but it is a very short walk from the marketplace at DTD.

We have rented from both National and Alamo with pick up at the Dolphin. We have actually found that the rates are cheaper doing it this way than from the airport!!! This summer, we saved over $400 to rent a minivan by picking it up on day 2 and returning it on the day before we leave. Plus, we can now just take ME to/from the resorts without any hassle.

We were staying at the BWV when we picked it up so it was just a quick walk. To return it, we just took the boat to Epcot, spent some time there, and then just took the car back to VWL where we were staying.

Good luck!

Got one from Dollar rent for 38 dollars per one day, will get it at MCO and drop off at the hotel by DTD.
thanks

We always rent a car for one day to go visit my Dad in Lake Wales. We've used National both at the CCC and the Dolphin. While the staff has been great at both locations, it can be a little slow at the Dolphin since there is only one person working the counter. At CCC things are a little crazier and you have to wait for the shuttle, but the shuttle will drop you off anywhere you want, including any of the parks.

I am doing just that when we go in May. Since we mostly use National Car when we need one, I've racked up a free day. I will be using my free day for my rental ... getting picked up at POP and taken to the Car Car Center to pick up the car on Saturday morning and then dropping it back on Sunday.

We'll be using the car to do some off-site activities -- shopping, maybe Gatorland, and dinner. But the main reason is to go to mass ... We like Holy Cross Catholic Church on Marsfield Ave ... just off Exit 10 (417), John Young Parkway. If you get off at exit 10 and go the other way, there is a grocery store. I like this church much better than the Shrine near WDW.

Really?
Is it closer AKV than the Shrine?
I want to go to Mass on Sat and don't worry on Sunday
So we will have a few hours in the pool before going to Mass on Sat and then go to the dinner show at the Wilderness. I will try to get the 8 pm show
I don't want to drive to the dinner as I like their sangria ;-) and my husband will not be with us to drive:-(
So, I was thinking of returning the car at the resort that they have by downtown the same Saturday after Mass and then take the bus to MK to get to the wilderness ,but not sure it will make it in 2 hours

There is also Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Celebration, which is much closer than Holy Cross in Hunters Creek. During the winter there are 2 Saturday masses, and 3 on Sunday. It is a wonderful church and everyone is welcome.

I'll have to check out the church in Celebration ... that would be a bit closer. Thanks for info.

We needed a rental car last summer for a few days and we rented from Enterprise at one of the Hotel Blvd Hotels(can't remember which one right now. Just down the block from DTD on the right) It was great they picked us up and of course dropped us off no problem.

We just rented from Dollar at the Wyhdam, we were staying at SSR and just walked but on the return of car the girl at the counter tried many time to get us to accept a ride back to hotel and said they would have picked us up...very nice service.:goodvibes
