The best rate program is history ans the AP rates are out. :cool1:   Check Mousesavers.com

I thought it was a much better process than trying to scrounge around all of the time for discount codes that may or may not be correct.

It must have been to their advantage to re-instate it. Disney doesn't keep anything that reduces their revenue.

Jim.

I didn't like the cancellation/change of days policies with the Best Rate plan. That AP discount often dictated which resort I was going to stay at. And of course now that I have no trips planned, and even when we do, we've agreed that we just can't continue to go 3 times a year just 'cause we've got those AP's, it's a moot point for me ... probably won't buy AP's again until AFTER the kids are grown and moved out! :rotfl:

Got to add my 2 cents worth here.

Ding Dong the programs dead
The wicked thing is dead......

Now I can book a room whenever a good flight deal comes along, which is usually a 10 to 30 day window.

I actually liked the best rate program so I'm sortof sorry to see it go. I wasn't thrilled with the time lines and the no refund policy but could have lived with it. Now we are back to codes and I have a feeling that there won't be that many available.

cdnmickeylover, not sure what you mean about codes. I just go to the AP website and book it there at great rates. Have never had any difficulties and never had to enter any code.

Not trying to rain on anyones parade but you do realize that the AP rate is not a guarantee it is a perk to the pass that can end at any time and with tourism on the rise the rates are getting less and less and are likeley to be non existent in the not so distant future.

There are codes associated with the rates that if you call you have to quote. I realize that you can go online and book it directly which I've done using the BRP. The perk of the BRP is that if the rate went down I didn't have to do anything.

Charles - do realize it's a perk and we buy the AP's for the admission -- the extra benefits are just that "extra" and we realize they could disappear at any time. Even now the rates aren't as good as they were a couple of years ago.
