We are thinking about trying out the Poly next Sept. What is the best rate you have gotten? All types of rooms please - garden view, water view, concierge, etc. Also what kind of discount did you get - AP, code, AAA, etc. Thank you!

I don't think I will ever top the rate I received this year at the Poly. We were displaced from POFQ and was offered the Poly at around $159 a night! Needless to say, we jumped at the offer and had a great vacation. Now we are hooked. We want to return to the Poly next July and are looking for deals from now. Nothing yet, though. CRO quoted $299 a night rack rate for value season. We are AP holders as well and are hoping for AP rates for that time of year. We are keeping our fingers crossed.

We got the same deal at the Poly from having been bumped over during POFQ rehab. LOVED IT!
If you check the rent/trade boards, occasionally you'll see people advertising points other than for DVC. I think they call them reservation points. These are for use at most resorts OTHER THAN DVC. One guy recently was asking $5.50 per point, someone else asked $6 per point in the past couple of days. I think that in Sept. this works out to about $190-ish a night (Garden View). Check the DVC calculator--there's a drop down menu where you can choose the resorts. I don't remember seeing this on the Points Charts.
Good Luck!;)

Wow, you both got great rates! Anyone else want to share?? Thanks!

I've gotten $189 for GV in October using a public code. I also got $199 in May using an AP.

If I'm right- when you break down the $299 value night price for September using the Fairy Tale Package pricing- it brings the cost per night to $170- but also remember that you had to buy the Ultimate Park Hopper for 4 days too. But I don't think I could work out a better deal by doing everything separately.
Good luck- this will be our first trip to Poly and will probably spoil us- but it's our goal to hit all resorts before our kids leave the roost so this is probably our only stay there. Next on the list is Grand Floridian for the Marathon in 2005- hoping for some great rates- or it'll be a very short trip! :)

We got an awesome deal in January 2002. We were displaced from Coronado Springs (which we were staying at for $89/night, AP rate) and ended up paying $99/night for garden view.

We paid $179 per night at the Poly in December 2002 by clicking on a link at Disneyworld.com. It was a red box that was on the front homepage and when you clicked it took you to their reservations (room only) page. A week after we go it, it was off the website and a friend of mine missed out on the deal. it was our first trip to a Deluxe and we have been hooked ever since.

$140 per night for Poly Garden View - - last December when we were moved from CBR during it's remodel.

I'm 1000% sure I'll never get another deal like that for the rest of my life :p

I got it for $129 (after taxes..it was cheaper than they quoted me) a night just last month. Because of the PO:FQ problem.

Wow! $129 a night? That is the lowest I've heard so far.

Gamer - what were the dates that you were there? Was it considered value season?

How far in advance did you book it? We aren't planning on going until next Sept (2004) but if you found the deal early, I will start to keep my eyes open now.

I paid $199 a night (taxes included) GV in February 2003. This was an AP rate.

Wonderful resort, my Grandchildren love it here.

When I was bumped from the Carribean Beach Resort last fall, I received a room at the Poly for $129 a night for 10 nights. What a great deal it was but I sure did make up for it in spending w/ the room card!

johnnyr,
We are thinking of the Poly for next year too. Around the end of May,the begining of June. I am an AP holder too.

Does anyone know the history link for rates and park hours?( I know it is too soon for the real thing)

Hope I can find a good rate, other wise it will be two rooms at a value.

We had a code from mousesavers that I think had been posted in a spanish speaking magazine anyway we paid $229.00 a night for Poly GV Concierge two years ago in Sept. So keep checking mousesavers. (That came to$254.00 per night with tax.
