I don't know if anyone else has come back from Disney recently but didn't see any talk of this so thought i'd post. My sister and I took a last minute trip to Orlando last weekend and we were in Magic Kingdom Friday night. Walking down main street we see tons of really cool light up necklaces around peoples necks. We sat down for the parade and the cm's came around selling all the light up stuff. I asked how much for the necklaces and swear she said $20... I said ah ok, thinking that sounded about right but wow, these things were selling like hotcakes. Dad's were going off and coming back with 6 of them, one for everyone in the family. So the parade is coming and the cm sellers are running down the street like they do along the route of the parade. One of them has a hand full of the necklaces and says "best prices in all of Disney World, $3!". I couldn't believe, these things were only $3 each! They are thick round tube necklaces and have strobe lights with 4 options of lightups and an off and on. You can't get the lightup necklaces that only last the night for that cheap! They have a company name on them and a website. Hubby seems to think that a company donated thousands of them maybe for the advertising so it's not a permanant souvie? It just seemed so odd to me!! Anyone else buy these and when did you buy yours? Hubby and I were there just 3 weeks ago and they didn't have them. My 14 month old son lovessssss his light up necklace!
