My daughter wants a fleece one for Christmas and I'd like to order online, thanks!

go to Nextag.com if you don't mind last year's colors. They have several sites that'll pull up. I found good deals at KLMountainShop.com, but Travelcountry, and I think it was BackCountry.com, and Moosejaw.com all had North Face on sale. I ordered ours back in March, and am saving them for this winter. The sites seemed to offer about 30-50 percent off.

has last year's at a discount.. there are a lot if she is an XS. Also, depending on how big she is make sure you look at the child sizes first. I believe a kids XL is similar to the small adult sizes but it's much cheaper.

Zoemurr, I must have blanked when I was typing, love 6pm.com!! I went with KLMountainShop.com last spring, because I needed a jacket for myself and dd, and they had the exact coats/colors for both of us. But I did order our younger dd's coat from 6pm.com. And I totally agree about the kids' xl being cheaper than the women's sizes if that's an option.

Just bought my dd and I Aconcagua coats last week from klmountainshop.com hers was $79 instead of $100 and mine was $100 instead of $179...and both were black so not only odd colors or styles. Free shipping and fast service..highly recommend!

Last year I got some north face products during the Macy's 25% off sale. I think it was thanksgiving weekend.

Moosejaw usually has great prices and on their homepage there is a link to take a survey and get a 10 dollar off coupon, plus go through ebates for 6% back. Also the youth XL is quite roomy and can fit my teen with plenty of room.

I got a Black NF Denali jacket for her this morning for 69.99 with the 10 dollar off coupon, plus Ill get another 4.20 back from ebates :thumbsup2

Deals will get harder to find the closer we get to Christmas.

I actually am looking for the same thing - thanks for posting OP!

I went into a North Face store last week just to try on the youth XL vs the womens Small and womens Med. Here's what I thought: The youth XL is actually roomier than the women's small, but smaller than the women's medium. It was like it was a womens small+. It wasn't as form-fitting though, so it didn't have a ton of room on the bust, and didn't come in at the waist. It was very roomy in the shoulders though.

As for the small - it was a bit snug on me in the bust (typical, as it's large for my frame size) and in the shoulders when I put them both forward, as I would when driving. But it was comfortable enough.

As for the medium - it was ok in the bust/shoulders, but baggy below the bust and in the stomach area. It also had really long arms.

Keep in mind, I tried all these on with a shirt and blazer on under the jackets. But in winter, I would generally wear that or a bulky sweater, so I figured it was ok.

So, please TRY ON IN A STORE before you buy - you might be getting your daughter the wrong size.

I got mine at the outlet two Christmases ago for $77. It was a Youth XL which was actually bigger than a woman's S (and half the cost! :thumbsup2). The sleeves are a tad short on the XL, but I am pretty small as well, so it doesn't really bother me.

I concur with the recs for Moosejaw. Get on their mailing list because they will be having a 20% off Friends and Family sale very soon.

Also, I have had luck finding North Face for good discounts on Gander Mountain and Cabelas, also REI. I actually just purchased my DD a new TNF jacket about a month ago for her birthday, regularly $150 for $50 on Cabelas.

You will do well to keep watch on the outlet sections of any of these sites as well as 6pm. Also, if you are in the market for any Under Armour items you can sometimes get good deals at these places.
