Yes use the garden hose and hose off the coils on the outside unit at least once a month. Use room darkening curtains to block out the sun. I use my crockpot a lot in the summer to cut down on using the oven.

I paid over $8000 to replace the a/c and heating unit in my condo - but it was built in the 70s and this was the original unit. Sometimes you just have to replace old stuff.

Sorry but this was occupied by a tenant. I don’t know what she paid. Unfortunately she died (only 64) in January so I can’t ask her. It’s not occupied now as it’s on the market to sell.
