I've heard the 70s are great- any other thoughts or tips? Thanks! We'll be staying in May. :cool1:

We were placed in the 50s section when we went last May. Great location!! Short walk to the food court and buses and generally quiet. I think the 50s and 70s tend to be the best non-preferred locations.

We stayed in the 50s. It was a great location. I hope to get the 50s again next time.

I paid for the preferred location and we were in the Play-Doh building which is the 60's (I think). Our green yo-yo stairwell was super close to the main building (which has the food court, shops, and arcade) as well as the laundry which is in a building next door. Our room faced the flower pool and we heard pool noises all the way until 12am when the pool closed.

we stayed in the 60's building, 4th floor, non smoking, with a pool view. pool noise didn't bother us, but then again we had been down there until closing some nights too. loved the view of the pool area, and the comings and going from the main building.
we are going again in (boo hoo to far to ticker) 2007 and will stay in the same building again.

We were in the 70's in January. It was great. Easy to get to the Food Court and the Busses.

POP Century is a great resort. You will really like it.

50's. Then there is Bldgs. A, B, C. I would say 50's bldg. A. Closest to parking lot, main bldg., and pool.

What building were you in?

sssh - don't tell everyone (but you are right) - our room was the best - verlooking the lake - top floor and really quiet.

It depends what you are looking for. In Dec. we stayed in the 70s and had a room on the backside facing the hourglass lake area. We were on the first floor in the building with the Mickey phone icon. It was very quiet. It was also very far from the parking lot. In early March we stayed in the 50s area (Tramp side). We were on the top floor and overlooked the pool. I was a little worried about noise, but things were quiet by 11 p.m. each night. Noise from the pool was minimal, but it was chilly and rainy the week we stayed. Our 50s room was closer to the main building than some of the preferred rooms and we were closer to the parking lots as well. And Lady and the Tramp is my favorite movie. So between the two sections, my biased opinion is 50s. But 70s was nice too.

Mom and I loved the 50's building...we were by Tramp. Could walk out our door and watch part of Illuminations. And the music at the pool rocked.

70's=Disco to me....no way! Well....maybe if someone else paid for it :)
