My husband, twin boys (age 9) and I are planning our second Disney trip for the end of July or beginning of August this year. :yay: Last time we were there we rented a house with a pool (we had 2 other kids with us). Since it will just be the four of us I am having a hard time deciding whether to stay on property (in a value or moderate resort), rent a house again, or stay at another resort such as Nickelodeon Suites Resort. At this point I am leaning most towards staying on property or the Nickelodeon Resort. What are the goods and bads in your opinion of these options? Also, do the resorts on property all have fridges? Thanks for your help!!! :confused3

We are on-site-ers. We like the convenience of being able to take the bus everywhere. We like being able to charge back to our room and have purchases sent back to the resort. I like the "Disney bubble" -- no blaring TVs and radios everywhere you go, no contact with the outside world. :)

All the rooms on-site have fridges. I know you can request a microwave at some of the resorts, first-come-first-served. I typically take breakfast items with us and buy milk in the gift shop.

Our favorite Mod is Coronado Springs. It has a great pool, which I'm sure your boys would love -- my boys do! I love the rooms there.

We've never stayed at the Nickelodeon Resort. The only time we stayed off-site was for our honeymoon in a timeshare; my aunt gave us a week's stay as a wedding gift. After my husband had his first on-site stay, he told me we'd never stay off-site again.

Have you checked the Disney Resorts board? There are FAQs on all the resorts with lots of pictures and info on each. Have fun planning!

If you want more space but be onsite, check out Bonnet Creek Resort. It is not owned by Disney, but is next to the Caribbean Beach Resort....can rent two bedroom villa for much less than a single hotel room at a value or moderate. Resort is beautiful too.

My neighbor is at Nick Hotel now and says it is not very clean and they won't stay there again. So definitely check reviews for it so you know what to expect.

Have fun planning!:)
