Best Place to Stay and Best place to book for 1 night?

Me and my OH have decided to extend our holiday by one day at the beginning of our stay, and we'll need a place to stay on 15th September (Saturday night). We'll get into CDG about 5pm, and we won't have tickets to get into Disneyland for that day so we want somewhere vaguely entertaining (We're staying at Seqouia lodge from Sunday night to Friday). We're thinking of staying at the Explorers hotel, expedia have it for about £104 for the night which we think is reasonable. Anyone have any tips? Cheers!

Alternatively you could stay at one of the Val d'Europe hotels and go for a nice (and relatively cheap) meal out?

I'd recommend staying a night in Paris.

You're already spending quite a long time at Disney so it makes sense to see somewhere else.

If you do decide to stay in Paris, there's a great hotel called the Hotel De La Sorbonne. It's 2 minutes from an RER station which is on the direct line to CDG. To get to Disney it's only 1 change. It's in a lovely area full of good value restaurants. You can walk to Notre Dame and the Louvre from there. Rooms are usually <£100.

You could go out for a nice meal on the night, grab breakfast in the morning, walk along the Seine and visit Notre Dame. You could then be at Disney for 1pm!

Are you talking about the one that's at 6, rue Victor Cousin 75005 ?

As it's way more than that now as I think it got a redo (220€ and up)

There's also the one at 8, rue Victor Cousin 75005 - Hotel Cluny Sorbonne which is nice but booked on the 15th

September is a very busy month for Paris with lots of trade shows and fashion events

I've stayed there a few times since the refurb but have never paid more than £100 per night. Looking at the 15/9 though and it is £200+, that's expensive considering the size of the rooms! It is a very nice hotel though if you can get a room for £100.

Madness now some of the prices for what you get

There's a ton of what were nice reasonable hotels in the 5th/6th that have all been done over and the rates have risen way over what they are worth.

I won't even start on renting there now as it's gone totally over the top

Real shame as there are some lovely restaurants (, once you weed out the tourist ones) night life and of course so much history to see and experience
