Best place to see Wishes? On a cruise or in the park?

We are thinking about scheduling a Wishes cruise for our trip in May.

Do you think the show will be as good viewed from a boat? Do you need to be in the park to experience the show?

I think WISHes would be wonderful as viewed from a boat but since I've not done this, I'm going to bump this back to page one for you so that some of our veterans can offer you advice.

We saw the old show from a cruise and had a great time! We had friends who just happened to catch wishes from the boat shuttle from FW to MK and sai it was great too.

try and schedule the cruise for early in your trip. That way if you are disappointed, you can try and catch it from inside the park later.

Saw it both from inside the park and from a cruise, and the cruise is by far the best viewing spot! We were on a Grand Gatherings fireworks cruise, and it had the music piped in. I'd make sure whatever boat you go on has the music, as without it, you do miss quite a bit of the "show".

You should try to see it both ways, though, as there are some effects (Tink flying and the kiss good-ngith) that would be better with a closer view, but the fireworks themselves are better viewed from afar.

Our boat stopped directly in front of the castle for the show...what a sight!!

I think we are going to take a cruise. We are not at WDW for very long. If we don't like it from the boat then we can see it from inside the park next time.

Most certainly. We did it and loved it. This time down we are going (and have booked) an Illuminations cruise - but have been tempted to free that up and do the MK cruise.
