Best place to see Paint the Night and Fireworks?

We'll be in Disneyland on a night when PTN is at 8 pm and fireworks at 8:30 pm. Where is a good place to go to see both? Thanks!

We saw PTN from the hub (facing where the parade comes out to the right of the castle, I'd say around 5:00 if the hub was a clock and the castle was 12:00. Once PTN passed by we stepped into the street and stood just behind where the CM's had a walkway for folks that cuts across from Tomorrowland to Frontierland (3:00). This way we could see the castle to the front/left of us, and the matterhorn to the right of us. We loved seeing the projections from both together and the fireworks over the castle. I've heard others rave about being in Main Street and have also read reports of liking the view near Small world but we loved our spot!

Good luck - it's still very crowded. We've had good luck by the fire station.

We were at DL, not WDW - we were basically in front of the Plaza Inn behind a row of folks who had probably gotten there hours before us. We got there 10 minutes before the parade started.
