Best place to rent a car for a day on WDW property?

We are thinking of going again in May and we wanted to rent a car for only a day. Is there a place at the resort where I could pick up and return a car? Thank you for any help

disney car care center is 1 (not sure where it is ) and at the Dolphin Resort is 2 (nat and Alamo). We always use the Dolphin because we end up at BWV

One of the trip planning web-sites said something about Alamo car rental places at each park. Is that true? Are they near the park entrances? Do you have to pay a parking fee to drop someone off there? Is this considered hi-jacking a thread?

We are renting for 3 days--picking up at CCC (this way I can get a shuttle to pick us up from POFQ--returning to Dolphin (the day we return the car, we are going to MGM/Epcot!

Great question, thank you for asking because I would like to know too. Right now, I am thinking of renting from Alamo at Dolphin Resort.

you know I wanted a car also and they are all over the place. I went to the Grovesnor across the street from downtown disney, they have a shuttle that will pick you up at the hotel, so will the others check it out.

The car care center is by the MK parking lot.

There is also a budget desk at the doubletree by DTD. They have free pick-up service if you schedule in advance.

There's Hertz outside the main gate near Bob Evans. They will pickup/drop you off.
