Best Place to Live Near the Parks?

DH and I are considering a move to Orlando primarily so I can work at the world. We know little to nothing about the area so I would love some input about locations to live that are near enough to drive there daily.

A friend of mine lives in Winter Garden, and another lives in Windermere...that's all I can tell ya...They both work at the dis.

We just returned from WDW and head down 3-4 times a year and each time we look at real estate--over the years we have purchased a timeshare/ and a condo. We have looked seriously for a house to relocate to a few times. This last week we really liked the Windermere area off 535 and a couple of communities--one in particular by Aston Woods we are interested in. Check them out.

Dr. Phillips, Hunters Creek (some areas), Celebration, Clermont, Reunion, Champions Gate and Windemere are all nice and pretty close. Plan on $800/month+ for rent now, $250,000+ for a condo or $350,000+ for a house in the nicer areas. The bubble is starting to burst here though-tons of homes on the market. You may want to check out the threads on the Budget Board about homeowners insurance. Not a big deal if you are renting but if you are planning to buy good luck. Some people in the homeowners thread have seen their homeownes insurance go up 100% or more. My parents moved from NY last year and their property insurance just went up 40%. They are paying a lot more than they were in Queens, NY!

I would have good jobs lined up before you come!
