Hey guys,
Not sure if this is the place to post this question. We are picking up a rental at MCO. We are staying in a two bedroom for 16 days. While we have always ordered from Amazon, Instacart (Costco, Publix, ABC Wine, etc...). We thought it would be nice to be able to shop for ourselves this time. We would be looking for Organic Fruit, kids Snacks, organic milk, organic eggs, etc... Also, a bonus would be a good selection of "Adult Beverages". Anyone have top suggestions for the best prices/selection for these items?

TIA!!!

Not sure about best prices but we always just go to Publix when it’s just us. It’s convenient and they have everything we want

The one time we took my in-laws with us (May 2021), they insisted on going to the Walmart on 545. That place was a zoo.

When I stayed at CCV, Tiffany Towncar picked me up at the airport. I had requested a grocery stop. They took me to Publix at Lake Cay Commons, 9930 Universal Blvd, Orlando 32819

I wasn't looking for organic, so I can't comment on that selection. But you can look at the Publix website.

I'm pretty sure there is a liquor store next door, in the same strip mall. I think it's Universal Liquor at 9938 Universal Blvd., Orlando 32819.

We shop at Publix too. We find it has an excellent selection and good quality too. They do sell beer and wine, but we haven’t bought any there so can’t comment on that selection.

Since you have a rental car, I’d map out your planned route from MCO to CCV (some people like the northern 528 to I-4 route, others like the southern 417 route) and then ask your mapping program to show the Publix on your route or near CCV.

If we’re arriving relatively early in the day and aren’t certain our room will be ready yet, we sometimes drive to the resort, drop off our luggage and do something else until we have a room. Then we drive to the closest Publix and shop. Other times we’ll stop on the way to the resort, because Bell Services will store our groceries too (just need to separate refrigerated from frozen from room temperature items into separate bags at the grocery).

We do have our favorite Publix, mostly based on the locations near WDW as well as the other TS we also stay in.

I do recommend the SR417 route from the airport. There is a SuperTarget right off exit 11. Easy on, Easy off. Very convenient. As a point of reference, the airport is at exit 17, Epcot (if they ever finish the construction on the bridge)/Disney Springs is exit 6, AnimalKingdom/Hollywood Studios is exit 3.

The WalMart on 535, which would be off exit 6 is an absolute zoo. I would avoid it at all costs.

If you are set on Publix, there is a newer one basically at the airport exit on Boggy Creek Rd. Exit the airport via the south exit and get off the exit to Boggy Creek Rd BEFORE you get to SR417.
