I love the frozen margarita stand in the Mexican pavillion in Epcot. Anywhere in the World Showcase really. There's an Irish pub where you can get a huge beer or cider in a tall plastic glass thingy.
Resorts= Territory Lounge at WL (Atmosphere is great, and I loved their chocolate mudslide martini. They also have a wonderful pulled pork and cole slaw flatbread!)
Parks= anything at Rose and Crown Pub or Absolut Citron/ Grand Marnier Slushies from cart in France!
i would have to go with the Tambu Loung (LAPU LAPU) for a great resort drink. As for the parks a Fiesta Margarita in Mexico is a nice cool down on a hot day.
Hee hee, I am so not shy about this subject. I like a good drink, so? LOL. I loved the slushies in France, we tried the grand marnier and the Grey Goose one. I liked the Grey Goose one better, it was like a frozen spiked grown up lemonade . I love the Outer Rim at the Contemporary. It has the best bartenders and waitresses. I love the BellVue Lounge at the BWI, it's off the main lobby and it has old time 40's radio playing, board games and a nice champagne and scotch menu. Love the Crew's Cup in the Yacht Club because of Oscar although I don't know if he's still there. And they have Dahlwinnie scotch there which my brother loves. Raglan Road has a gorgeous bar and also really cool beer flights if you are into hearty ales and largers. I love the Dawa Bar in Animal Kingdom because of it's location and they usually have a daily special drink on the menu that is fruity, punchy and refreshing. If you are a wine fan the Victoria Falls bar in the AKL is really awesome and it's also overlooks Boma if memory serves. My absolute favorite though might be the Big River Grille. We always enjoy the seasonal beer they have brewed and although their menu gets alot of thumbs downs, I love thier appetizers and have never been disappointed by them.
Okay....I realize the amount of bars I've commented on makes me look or (insert lush emoticon here), but I just love a before dinner drink on vacation.
OOH. Good post. I was wondering were the drinks were. I will check out the ones at Epcot and AK. Are there any in Epcot or MGM? I am sure that there aren't any in MK. If there is, please point it out.
I agree with the Rose and Crown thoughts - love getting a half yard and enjoying the view. We also like the lounge in the Contemporary (The Rim? or something like that?). We take the monorail over from MK when we need a break and enjoy the view. Another thing we like to do is take a "monorail tour" of each of the resorts. We stop and have a drink at each! Nice "adult break".
While I am a big fan of the plum wine at the kiosk in Japan and always get a glass of wine in Italy - who knew about these slushies in France. I can't believe I never found them - you can bet I will have one when I go back in December. Tres - Chic!!!
Others have mentioned some of our favorites--Bellevue Room at BW, Tune-in-Lounge at MGM next to H&V and Prime Time Cafe, Tambu Room at Poly, Outer Rim at CR. Our all-time favorite was the Catwalk Bar above Brown Derby, that that closed a few years ago. It was a special place for us, so we are really sad that it no longer is
