Best place to fill up rental car near airport

This is the first time I haven't taken magical express back to the airport. I didn't research it because we were supposed to take ME but we changed our plans last minute and will be driving to the airport tomorrow morning from the Vero Beach resort instead.

I know we should fill the tank to avoid paying a ridiculous amount for Alamo to refill. What is the best (and easiest) place near the airport to fill up?

Is returning the rental to Alamo at the airport a relatively quick process? Are there any of those rentable luggage carts nearby? We have a lot to drag to the counter

If you are taking the Beachline back to MCO, get off on SR 436 heading towards Orlando. DO NOT STOP AT THE FIRST TWO GAS STATIONS. They are opposite sides of the road and are absurdly expensive. Go about a mile or so down 436 and you will see a 7-11 or go a little further and see a Racetrac. Both very reasonable. When you return, drop your party off at departing flights and then return the car. It is pretty quick and you can then meet them on the third level (departing flights). Much easier and less expensive than those little carts.

I went to the Wawa place that is fairly new. Great price on gas.

I didn't see any luggage carts but then again I wasn't looking since it was just me and I didn't need them.
