Best place to buy WDW theme tickets?

Just posted on another thread. Got 2 adult 7 day park hopper plus water parks etc today at the disney store and they are still at par. They are the exact price on the disney website. this is about $22 more than Undercover tourist but with the exchange it works out better. Don't know how long they'll keep them at par though with the state of the dollar. They're plastic cards as well, not paper tickets.

Thanks leaffan, BTW good luck this year. Now that there's a new HNIC anthem, maybe the Leafs will win the Cup finally. You know, they haven't won since the CBC started using the last anthem.

I priced out tickets at the Disney store up here and it is at least $150 cheaper to buy them there. Once you factor in exchange, undercover tourist is no longer the best deal.
Thank you to whoever posted the suggestion to buy them there, you saved our trip!!

I should add, the $150 we saved was total on all the tickets we bought, not each ticket. That would be a crazy savings, too bad that wouldn't happen...

You're welcome. I got them for Xmas for 2 of my children as we are all going next may. With the current exchange rate it is definitely the best deal right now.

Did you pay GST and PST at the Disney store in Canada?
What is the tax you would pay in Florida?
What is the most expensive ticket one can buy in the Disney store in Canada?

Thinking about getting some tickets tommorrow and then upgrade them next year if we have to.

Thanks.

Do the Disney stores offer the no expiry option?

If not, can I just add it at the park when we get there?

What is the most # of days they offer?

We need to buy a ticket for dd who will be turning 3 before our next trip and I was thinking of just picking one up now.

Thanks for all these replies to my post. Due to the recent exchange, it was a better deal to get the tix through Disney store but now the tix are sold out for 7 day hopper for an adult. I called and they said there is a delay in getting more tix from Disney and they don't know why.

I'm assuming the new bunch will be an adjusted price due to the change of exchange rate but I guess we'll see. grrrrrr

The prices at the Disney Store include all taxes.
Actually, if you go to Disney.ca to buy tickets, you will see the prices. They are the same price in the Disney store, but in CAD$.

I asked them at the DIsney store if the prices would change because of hte poor $ and she very firmly said no, that will not happen.

Don't know if that is true or not. I do know they are sold out of tickets at our DIsney store without the park hopper option. She said to call every other day to see when they get more in becuase I still need to buy one more.

Just checked Disney.ca, prices are in US. I was redirected to the Disney.com site for tickets only.

Ya, you are right. Sorry about that, they told me in the store that was the case, but I just looked myself. They are the accurate prices for the Disney Store though, just in the store the prices are CAD$.
I just called a different Disney Store and he assured me that the prices will not go up. That is what they are regardless of the exchange rate. Hopefully he is right!

Agreed, the prices are definately in USD.

I do think they are going to have to change this quote on the site though:

...with the strong Canadian dollar it's now even more affordable to make your Disney dream vacation come true.

Hi
We just got all the vacations school and work sorted out to take a vacation to WDW (never been there). We are a family of 5 and i need to pick up tickets quickly as we are going there the first week of nov. i started browsing yesterday and signed by for the mousesavers newsletter but discovered that the newsletter comes out on the 15th and we wont get the newsletter with the Udercover Tourist link till 11/15 by which time we will have returned from Disney. Would appreciate if somebody can send me a link.

Also another question: we will be staying outside and due to airfare rates are actually flying in to tampa and driving in (the difference in ticket between Ny - tampa and Ny MCo was ~$200/ ticket). We will also be going to Universal and Kennedy Space center. We will rent a car at the airport - what is the most cost effective way for parking at the different theme parks. Does it make sense to buy a AAA parking card?

Thanks in advance.

I was doing some investigation for my friend and called the Disney Store in Fairview Mall and Scarborough Town Centre, Toronto. The price you paid in Store is in Cad$ and include all tax. You cannot refund once the ticket is sold. However there is no expiration date as long as you do not use it. Once used, the ticket will expired on the 14th day. You can also upgrade the ticket once you are at Disney World.

Also the lady in Scarbourough Town Centre says they havn't adjusted the price in about 2 months. She was not sure whether it will be adjusted soon.

TO CONFIRM, my friend just bought the tickets ( 7 days base ticket) from Disney Store yesterday - She paid in CAD$ . She saved > 20% by doing so with exchange rate < 0.8 yesterday

As someone else mentioned, if you are a member of CAA you might get a discount. The Disney Store, however, is currently selling their theme park passes at PAR but I don't think that will last too long.

Another site that I have been reading about is Maple Leaf Tickets, just google them.

Good luck.:surfweb:
