best place to buy non resident AP?

We will be making 3 trips to Florida this coming year so we are just going to purchase a non resident basic AP. I was wondering if this can be purchased at the parks. And if it's better to buy it there or online or if there is anywhere else better to purchase it from?

Since it's a non-resident AP, I would purchase from Universal online and choose Will Call pick up. Once you arrive just go to the kiosks and the AP will print out there then go directly to the gates. All you'll need is the credit card and confirmation number for the transaction. That way you won't have to wait in the ticket lines to purchase.

And you can use your printed receipt to show at the resort hotel you have the AP for the AP rate if you reserved at the AP rate. If you are staying onsite, the AP rate can be a very good rate. Use APH when checking rates on the hotel websites. Can always call the hotel directly too. I found the reservation people at both the Portofino and RPH to be very helpful in finding the best rate for me.


It was very easy to use the kiosk and I had no trouble using my printed receipt to get my AP to pop out. While I was using the kiosk , I had a Universal lady ask if I needed help, ( which I did not) then when I was done, she congratulated me and wished me a happy birthday, as I activated on my bday.


We love the parks.
