I realize that a LV bag isn't really budget but I'm looking for the best place to buy a bag for a graduation gift? Is there any way to save a bit of money? I'm in Canada.
Yea, definitely not - I had heard they are quite bit cheaper from Europe (France), but doesn't look like we'll be getting over there any time soon. Also wasn't sure if buying it from the U.S. would save?
They must be cheaper in San Juan. When our cruise on the fantasy stopped there in October, we saw so many people walking around with Louis vuitton brown bags. Lots of people with multiple bags getting back on the ship!
Same price everywhere, but if you are going to a state with no sales tax, you could pick one up there. Or... if you have an international trip planned you could possibly find it duty free. Buying it abroad can also save $$$. I know of people who buy while in Paris. Sales tax is already added into the prices, and you get a refund of the VAT. Depends on the value of USD vs. Euro.

Sorry I can't answer your question, but FWIW, even very wealthy people have a budget, huge multi billion $ companies have a budget. A budget is a financial plan. It doesn't necessarily mean thrifty or inexpensive.
The Budget Board isn't just for poor people.
