Hi everyone,
I appreciate this site so much. We did not purchase any Vacation package however we do have AAA, Sam's Club, and Costco Memberships.

My question is, I am wondering with the current Promotion of Adult Hopper tickets at the Kids price, is there any benefit of where I buy them?

I understand if I buy them through AAA, I will get free parking, but I am guessing I will pay Washington State Sales Tax. However if I buy through Disney online, I see that they do not charge for shipping, and I am going to assume I would not pay sales tax. And if I purchased through ARES, there is a small fee, and shipping charge. I thought I read here that I could buy tickets through Costco too, but I am assuming I pay Sales tax as well.

Anyway have any thoughts about which method is cheapest?

Thanks!

I just bought my tickets through AAA and while I logged in using my AZ login it transferred me to the CAA website and I purchased my 4 day park hoppers without paying sales tax (it said it was included, as was the shipping) so I paid $149 a piece for my hopper tickets and got the free parking which we need because I have 2 small ones and the quicker we can get out of somewhere and back to the hotel the better! :)

I just purchased our 3 day park hoppers through the disneyland website. It was cheaper through the website than it was at the Disney store and it also includes 1 early entry which is very valuable IMO.:) They also included a coupon good for 10% off a $50 purchase or 20% off $100 purchase good at many stores around the parks and DTD. Shipping was also free and no sales tax.

The best deal I've found is part of the "city pass" package. It is great as long as you need or can use the other included tickets. City Pass includes

-DLR 3 day hopper
-one day Universal studios
-one day sea wold
-one day San Diego Zoo or Wild animal park.

Costco has the best price at $209 per adult and I think around $179 child.

Did you buy these at Costco in So. California and do you have to be a resident of So. Cal? I live in Washington State so I am wondering if they sell the city passes up here.

Our Utah Costcos have the So. California city passes. You can check your local costco store but probably the easiest is just getting them online at Costco.com (free shipping):

If you are going to go to Universal and sea world and the zoo anyway, it is a fantastic deal. Last year the adult ones were only $179! I think they wised up a bit.
