We've done the Sail Away Party on deck 11 many times and would like to experience sailing out of the port in a different location. Maybe the Outlook Lounge on deck 14 with a glass of Champagne? What's your suggestions? BTW, no kids. Just wife and I.

Thanks

Meridian Lounge (between Remy and Palo) where we sat during the sailaway party on the second leg of our B2B. Got a martini, sat out there, you can hear the party going on, and you have a fantastic view from the back of the ship as she pulls out of the port. I also highly recommend Meridian at any other time too, inside or out. There's hardly anyone there as people often think that it's only for those going to Palo or Remy (it is not). We spent so much time there that the servers got to know us very well. I always ordered the same thing and as soon as we walked in, they'd get it ready for me. We got to chat to them for quite a while too because sometimes we were the only people in the place.

I was just reading on the DCL site that the outside seating for the Meridian Lounge is a "cigar bar", so I assume this means smokers out there?
It even shows ash trays on the DCL site, so if you are not a smoker, you may not want to go there for the sail away party.

Good point. The Meridian Lounge sounds like a great idea

We also like deck 13 forward. Great view from the "pointy end" of the ship as you head out of port.

There are two outdoor areas to Meridian - one on each side. They are available for smokers but I believe that one side (the side opposite to where we were) was the cigar bar. Because there was no one other than us there was no one smoking it was fine, but, yes, it's possible that someone could be out there smoking.

What is there on deck 13? Seating or general standing area? Also, isn't there a dedicated Concierge deck on the Dream? Does it have views or is it enclosed?

This is deck 13. The concierge area is to the right behind the glass wall. The bow is behind me as I took the photo.

FWIW, we also find deck 13 starboard to be a good place to watch the fireworks on pirate night away from the crowds.

Last year on the Dream, my husband and I went to the rainforest room after the lifeboat drill. We were the only ones there. We had the tile chairs and hottubs to ourselves. And when the ship sailed away we stood at the open air area and waved goodbye.

There was a cost for that?

Is deck 13 starboard adults only?

YES! Well, the front portion of it. (Aft is not - that's where the sports deck is.)

And they do enforce it, thankfully.

So is Fantasy similar, as a good fireworks spot? Does Currents stay open during fireworks? If it is I'm there!

Cheers

Yes, similar viewing on the Fantasy. And if I recall correctly, Currents is open!

The Rainforest until you clear the jetty then Meridian to watch the shoreline disappear into the sunset!
