Best place for family of 8?

My good friend has FINALLY called to say she's ready to book a trip for her family. She's looking at late May. There's so many in the family, finding a place big enough can be a challenge. There's her, DH, DD17, DD9, twin DS7, DS1, and mentally handicapped SIL in late 30's. At first glance, HIFS seems to be just about right for them, but I wanted to check here to see if there are any recommendations/advise to be gained. Thanks!

Eryore's Girl, please read my review on the Staybridge Suites in Lake Buena Vista. It's closer to Disney than HIFS(I have stayed at HIFS). I was very pleased with the hotel. The 2 bedroom sleeps 8. I just checked there web site and you can get a rate of 99.50 for the end of May with the entertainment card. Any questions, please feel free to ask.

My sister and her family just returned from 8 days at WDW. They stayed at a brand new condo resort. The Bahama Bay Resort (800-527-2262), and LOVED it. It was about 10minutes away, in Kissimee.

i second the "rent a vacation home" idea

with that many people they could spread out and not trip over each other

might even save some money over a hotel

also the kids would love a private pool

With that many people, definitely rent a house. There are houses available from 3-8 bedrooms and they start at less than $100/nite.

Rent a vacation home, although I have to declare I have a vested interest.

Any 4 bedroom home should be licenced for 10 guests and will easily accommodate 8!!
