best place for cocktail and Illuminations?

do you reccommend any of the dining patios around WS?

Sure, most of them have good viewing. But keep in ind at places like the Rose and Crown, the patio is for dinners, and wasn't really intended for people to just sit and order a cocktail.

Matsunomi Lounge in Japan is nice, although they don't pipe in the music.

Generally speaking you'll have to get there early if you want a seat.

We like to sip a Margarita while sitting at the Cantina at Mexico! Great view from there - the wind is usually blowing the other direction, so we never have a problem with that!

But, you need to stake out a table EARLY! Usually by 7:30 they start filling up!

Since you can get a drink nearly anywhere in the WS, and are not limited to where you can go with it inside the park, select your beverage of choice and then sit outside the Rose and Crown in the public seating area.

Or, you can sit anywhere around the lagoon for that matter.

Get some champagne at France and select a bench there, or stand on the bridge.

Get a drink at Germany and wander up to the Outpost and sit at one of those tables (or pick up a drink at Norway for that matter).

No matter where you want to be, if you want to actually sit at a table on on a bench, you are most likely going to have to be early. Folks start holding the choice spots around eight p.m.

Get a drink and stand on the balcony outside of the Japanese restaurant complex. The earlier post about the lounge at Japan and not being able to hear is true, but that can be a good place to watch from also.
