Hello all!
The wife and I are taking our 3 kids to Disneyland here in 6 weeks and was wondering what the best place to take them for an ice cream sundae (as we all love ice cream). My wife was thinking Carnation Cafe, but wasn't 100% sure as it's been a long time since she's had ice cream there.

Suggestions?

Thanks in advance!
Jason

In DL: Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor

In DCA: Burrrbank Ice Cream

The waffle cones at Gibson Girl on Main St. are excellent!

Disneyland might be the only place in the world where you can have a silly hat on with a waffle cone in one hand and a turkey leg in the other all while coming off as perfectly normal! ha ha

We had some type of Mickey sundae where the put fresh choc chip cookies as they ears and drenched in hot fudge. They rocked. They were at Gibson Girl.

Oh, man. I can't wait to go to D.L. now!!! I want that icecream!!!! :scared:

Street Car Sundae at the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor!!!

We saw a place on Main Street (is it Gibson Girl?), but it was packed. We snuck off to the Golden Horseshoe in Frontierland for some wonderful sundaes, no lines, no crowds. I think they have some of the same ones as Gibson Girl.

The Carnation Cafe has a huge sundae that can be shared. My 18-year old godson ate the whole thing himself. I can't remember what it's called, but it's very good. Also apple pie with ice cream and caramel sauce. We got a huge scoop of ice cream on it--I think I asked for a bit more ice cream.

At PCH Grill in the Paradise Pier Hotel they have what they call the Kitchen Sink. It is every ice cream and topping imagineable. It is HUGE and costs something close to $20 plus if the entire family is sharing then it is not too bad.

We fell in love with the little Ice Cream window on Main Street, its tucked away off main street in the alley behind the fruit cart the name shows as Main Street Cone Shop.

We found the lines to be shorter then other places and the mint chip in the waffle cones was HEAVEN!!!!!!!!yummy!

My fave is the Golden Horseshoe's Hot Fudge Sundae, you get it with ice cream, hot fudge and cookies! MMM Gibson Girl is my next choice. I have yet to go to Brrrr-bank in CA. I really need to do that....

It's odd, I really am NOT a fan of the ice cream I have tried at DLR. It sure does smell good in those shops, but the taste doesn't match to my tastebuds.

But I do want to tell you two things!

One, sometimes soon across the street on Harbor, a Cold Stone Creamery is opening (I don't like their ice cream either!).

And there's a Haggen Dasz in DTD. I like their store-bought ice creams (and they are safe for my boys b/c many of them don't have high fructose corn syrup or plain corn syrup), though I haven't tried them at the DTD shop yet. But I will the next time! :)
