Best pixie dust?

We had someone in our cruise group do something VERY nice for us that saved us hundreds of dollars. DH suggested “pixie dusting” them but I’m not sure with what. Should I purchase an onboard gift? Just put something in their FE for their kids? None of the FE stuff we’re bringing would be great for them, I’d have to pick something up or order amazon tonight. Kids are 12 and 9. Any ideas??

Buy them a Disney Gift Card either before or onboard and give to them onboard. I would not leave that in the FE bag though. Hand delivered would be best. That way they could use the Gift Card on whatever they want onboard.

I should have specified that I don’t want it to be money/credit. The person did something nice for us, leveraging their position at work and I don’t want to make it seem like we’re paying them for it.

Do you think she and her partner would like rainforest passes? Maybe trips to Vanelope’s for the kids?

What about a nice bottle of wine you could carry on or purchase on ship for them.

Invite them for brunch/dinner at Palo.

Or

Buy them a bottle of wine/champagne and have it delivered to their SR with glasses.
For the kids, buy them a bag of candies/chocolates/small gifts from the ship's store
Include a thank you note.

- Had this done for us on our 1st cruise when our DD got sick and our table mates sent this to our SR. To this day almost 10 years ago I'm still blown away and gives me chills when thinking about it.

I’ve always wanted one of those Mickey cakes to show up in my stateroom! Perhaps something special that your hometown/area is known for. I’m a Vermonter, I give a lot of maple syrup as gifts.

You might buy them matching pirate Mickey & pirate Minnie dolls onboard, which make nice momentos of the cruise, since you can't get them anywhere else. That, or one of those crystal Disney character figurines, also available in the onboard shops. I'd do this very early during the cruise, before they're likely to have done much shopping.

What excursions are you going on? Maybe one of them has a specialty item that you can gift them? Otherwise, a bottle of wine from port, or doing Palo brunch or dinner with them.

Or you could decorate their stateroom.

Personally, I have done the decorated stateroom for my daughter and the look on her face was priceless. I also did this for a family on their wish trip and the parents were so thankful. Maybe order that to be in their room upon arrival with a note thanking them. Do do the onboard gifts now, you need last name, stateroom and sailing date, so it appears that you have everything you need.

The DCL site has an entire section devoted to onboard gifts: Shopping for Onboard Gifts and Ammenities

Perhaps something there would be useful. The "Luxury at Sea for Two" includes premium grade bathrobes that are even better than the ones sold in the gift shops. I got one for my wife that she absolutely loves.

I wish we could get our own reservation for Palo, lol. I really wanted to do brunch but this cruise is filled with platinum and gold members and we're only silver.

Thanks everyone! I decided to get the room decorations for them. I hope they're a nice surprise :).
That sounds nice! We were in a similar boat to your gift recipient on the last cruise (helped out someone in our cruise group), and they pixie dusted us a pair of Disney beach towels in our fish extender, which I thought was absolutely lovely and really a nice surprise--handy on the cruise for Castaway Cay, and we still use them regularly. I think some of the room decorations also come with beach towels too. I expect they will love it!
