Best park for Thanksgiving Day

We reschedule our July trip to thanksgiving week. We have seen that crowd calendars pretty much have everyday at all parks as the worst “10”s. For thanksgiving Day we are thinking AK might be our best option but does anyone have experience on if any parks are better/worse on the actual holiday?

I know with the virus no one knows what the future holds for crowds and we are going in with a good attitude expecting everyday will be packed.

I don't have an answer, but we have a back up trip for that week if they aren't open for our July trip, and it was horrible trying to figure out ADRs with no park hours (hoping I'm not the only one who couldn't get the park hours). We are going to go to probably HS that morning, and then have V&A for dinner so we'll leave a little after lunch when it starts getting super crowded. I knew we wouldn't want to go to MK on a holiday since that's the park that always gets the most crowded.

Thanksgiving day is actually our last full day there, and we will have been to all the parks at least once, so we plan to just play it by ear. We are thinking AK or Epcot.

So, Thanksgiving week is definitely crowded, but not unbearable. What we do on Thanksgiving morning is go into MK, or whatever park we’re closest do, just for the AM. We get our 3 FP’s done and then head out. I’m sure if you stay all day, it will get a lot busier by early afternoon. It’s such a beautiful time of the year to be at Disney!! Enjoy it!!

We went to AK this past Thanksgiving Day and we pretty much managed to do whatever we wanted, with the exception of Avatar. Park didn't seem overly crowded. Rest of the week was pretty busy everywhere, but that had alot to do with Rise of the Resistance opening!

I couldn’t see November hours either! I was hoping it wasn’t just me. This will be our third Thanksgiving at Disney. It’s doable. Just have your patience, lol. We usually go to Hollywood Studios and Epcot on Thanksgiving Day. Magic Kingdom seems to be the most crowded.

We've only been there one time over Thanksgiving, a few years ago, but we spent the day at Epcot. One of the reasons was because we knew we wanted to have an ADR for a traditional turkey dinner and Rose and Crown had the offerings that we liked best. Epcot is also so big even though I'm sure it was crowded it didn't feel too bad. I'd compare it to a typical summer crowd. We got on all the attractions we wanted that day, some more than once.

regards

Normally we do Magic Kingdom at rope drop and leave after lunch...this year we aren't going to make it a park day, let the wife and daughter sleep in, head to disney springs, eat lunch at Boathouse, see a movie then go watch football at Geyser Point that evening

We had an AMAZING and perfect Thanksgiving Day at AK last year. The weather was perfect. We had dinner at Tusker House. It was good, but it was so loud, so I can't recommend it. Just too chaotic for us to pay the price tag again. Not sure if they'll even be open this year!

We sang Christmas carols with the CMs on the way out at park close. It was a magical day.

In 2017 we went to Epcot and had a blast. Lots of space to spread out and enjoy the atmosphere.

We did not rope drop either time.

Good luck with your planning!
