Best Out-of-Pocket Restaurant for Adults in Parks

Another vote for Yacthman's ( we haven't done Flying Fish). It is where we have our anniversary dinner on our Disney trips. We have had good meals at park restaurants but the service/ pace once seated feels more rushed at dinner .

I don’t like to leave the parks for meals. I also like a drink.

MK
Skipper Canteen

Epcot
Spice Road

DHS
Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge

AK
Tiffins/Nomad Lounge

MK - nothing good
EP - Spice Road Table or Monsieur Paul or LeCellier
HS - Mama Melose
AK - Tiffins

Since you're at the Boardwalk, I'd suggest Flying Fish. Best meal ever. ....but like others have said, best to look over the menus.

For non-signature places,

At Epcot we LOVE Chefs De France, Tokyo Dining.
Hollywood Studios we like Mama Melrose the best for adults
MK, Skipper Canteen would really be the only standout choice. We thought Liberty Tree is downright disgusting, and Be Our Guest is also very low quality. However the last 2 meals we have had at Tony's have been very good (unpopular opinion, but our meal was VERY good. too good not to mention).

Epcot - We have had great meals at Chefs de France and Tutto Italia.
DHS - Hollywood Brown Derby
MK - BOG but I haven’t been there since 2013. Sounds like the food may have slipped a bit. Beautiful restaurant, though.

My husband and I are going for our anniversary at the end of August, staying at Boardwalk. It's a short trip so I'm only making one ADR, I just can't decide where. We're going to every park but Animal Kingdom -- where would you eat one meal in the parks if paying out of pocket? I want it in a park because that's where we plan to spend all our time.

Epcot:
  • La Hacienda for Mexican.
  • Monsieur Paul for French (and overall best TS in Epcot)
  • Le Cellier for any steak fans.

Magic Kingdom:
  • Be our Guest (dinner)
  • Liberty Tree doesn't do it for us, not really seeking a Thanksgiving meal in the parks.
Hollywood Studios:
  • Hollywood Brown Derby is the best in Hollywood Studios
  • Sci-Fi is our favorite 'themed' restaurant if in a burger mood.
  • 50's is a good time.
  • Mama Melrose is an Olive Garden equivalent, so :crazy2:

If I were you I'd eat Flying Fish although it's outside of the parks but it is near your hotel

Shame you are not going to AK is our favorite restaurant on site is Tiffins but here goes.

MK - pickings are slim but we like Skippers Canteen for lunch. I'd probably head over to one of the MK resorts for something.
Epcot - Too many choices in WS, you can't go wrong with any of them but we love both restaurants in Morocco the best.
HS - We are also fans of HBD, both inside and the outside lounge.
I agree with others since you are staying at BW to just do Flying Fish or hop over to Dolphin, there are a few good restaurants there.

Hmm, this is tough without really knowing your food preferences and price point- here's my two cents for an adult only meal pick if it were me and my DH for each park and some resorts- keeping in mind it's for your anniversary so maybe choosing pricier than normal meals than I would normally choose. We are not fancy eaters when we go since we always have kids in tow.

These are in my preference from first choice to last choice----
Contemporary Resort- California Grille, IMO this would be our #1 choice, make an ADR during the fireworks show and you'll have a great experience. Consistently great food but prices to match. Atmosphere matches the resort but the view makes up for what the restaurant ambiance lacks.
AKL- hit up Jiko- great food and atmosphere but pricey for sure.
Epcot- Le Cellier, we did this restaurant for lunch with our girls, that was a mistake, dinner only would be my future preference. Not terribly uniquely themed but good food and service, definitely more for adults.
MK- Liberty Tree Tavern, fun casual dining, no frills but offers a uniquely themed experience in historic america with typical american food.
DHS- No experience eating at the brown derby so no comment there but there are no other restaurants at DHS worth an anniversary meal IMO.

Like I said we don't usually do signature dining but these (although not all signature) are the ones we've frequented and have had consistently good service.
