My sister may be joining us for a couple of days. She will have an arrival time 10:00 pm or later. What is the most reliable and safe option for travel to WDW resorts? She will be by herself and will not want to Uber due to safety concerns.

I would think Mears Connect vs. private limo from one of the several companies with frequent positive mentions on these boards, the forum sponsor being one of them.

Would she be comfortable with a taxi?

Either Mears Connect or a taxi. I use Mears Connect from MCO to a WDW resort. The taxi is much more expensive.

My wife did Mears Connect a couple months ago, she arrived late Saturday night and I joined her Sunday afternoon. She had no problems and found it fun to talk to random people on the bus.

There are a lot of safety features Uber has now. I use them all the time and I'm solo. If she doesn't know, you can share your ride with someone (like you) so they can follow and alert authorities if something goes wrong. That's just one of them.

But as others have said, if she's not comfortable with that, she's not going to be comfortable in a taxi and Mears Connect would be the best way.

Mears as she will have plenty of other people around her all the time. Private car or taxi would leave her in a 1:1 situation. Just make sure she knows it can take a couple hours to get to her resort between waiting for departure and the up to 6 stops.

There are private services that will do woman only drivers if that’s what she’s uncomfortable about. GearFusion offers that as an add-on. I didn’t do the add-on but I just had an excellent experience with them and will be returning.

I agree, I take Ubers after late night after hours events and parties at WDW, but some people just aren't comfortable doing that. Once I was stuck in a traffic jam and since the car wasn't moving, Uber asked me if I was OK.

Uber.

I am a single female who lives in a big city with no car. While I take a lot of public transportation, I also use Uber for appointments and when it is later at night. Never have I felt unsafe.

Yep. Same. I clicked that I was ok, then when we'd only moved a little in like 20 more minutes it asked again to double check.

If you go way outside of the route the app originally mapped, it will ask about that as well.

Whenever I travel solo, I always book a town car service. If I were doing WDW solo, I’d opt for Mears
