A group of six of us (3 couples) are planning a trip for Oct. What do you think would be our best option? Have you had experience with the FW Cabins? Or is a Villa a better option? We are looking at WL, BW and BC villas because we want to stay close to EPCOT or MK. Any advice??
Thanks!

I would say go with an Epcot resort rather than MK, because you have the freedom to walk to both Epcot and MGM, which is great if you guys decide to split up for a bit and meet up later. You can't walk to the parks from WL or FW cabins and will need to rely on the buses and boats. With such a large party, having the option of walking makes it much easier.

BW and BC are excellent places to stay...plus, if you like nightlife, both resorts are located on the Boardwalk-great to walk around and catch the street performers, meet for breakfast, meet for a drink, if you are into dancing there are two dance clubs located there. and, again, you can just leisurely walk back to your resorts when you want to.

I don't know much about the villas, but, if you got a villa, you would likely need 2-3 bedrooms. Not sure of your budget, but it might just make more sense to get 3 rooms on the same floor.

Have fun!:goodvibes

I havent stayed at the FW cabins but I'm hoping to very shortly, I know how long the boat takes (from staying at WL), and its not long, and it's enjoyable and the price of those cabins is great value, even more so if you get groceries.

I wouldn't think the cabins would be that comfortable for six adults, and there is only one bathroom. You would probably be more comfortable in a 2-bedroom villa if it is in your budget.

I know that the Swan will guarentee (sp?) connecting rooms. And the Swan/Dolphin has some nice deals (last year at this time, they had a special of $129 a night if you booked by Feb, and they always have discounts for teachers/nurses/gov workers). Also, the pool (at the Dolphin next door) is a beautiful grotto area.

It is right in the Epcot area. We stayed at BWI and the boat to Epcot and HS was very handy.

The restaurants in this area would be a lot of fun for you!

Especially only with one bathroom. Did you look at CSR and the jr suites? They come with two bathrooms and enough space for six.

That's true, I can't imagine the six of us sharing one bathroom! I'll definitely check out CSR- thanks for your help everyone!

You could all stay in a two bedroom villa. BUT, who gets the king sized bed in the master bedroom. Who gets the second bedroom with one queen and one double sleeper sofa (or do two couples share that room) and who gets the queen sleeper sofa in the living room???

You could get three - one bedroom villas if you each want your own living room. Or you could get one two bedroom and one studio. There are no Grand Villas the the Villas at Wilderness Lodge or the Beach Club Villas. There are a few at the Boardwalk Villas, but they go very quickly to members at 11 months out.
