Best OKW building

I'm getting so excited about our first stay at OKW. We leave in 8 days!! What is the "best building" at OKW? Is there a "bad" building? We want to be near a bus stop and be able to get to our car easily. Lovely water views would be nice. My in laws want a quiet pool and 8 year old son wants to go to the big pool. We are staying on a cash reservation in a 2 BR villa. Thanks!

Old Turtle Pond Road is a nice area - quiet pool is the largest after the main pool - we loved building 33 there, water and golf view - every building in Old Key West has parking for your car right outside your room. There is a bus stop right outside of Building 33, but really any area of Old Key West is beautiful and there is a bus stop at each section. It's not far to the main pool from any section, because every bus that stops at your area stops at the Hospitality House before leaving the resort, so you can get on any bus and go to the main area if you're not staying right near it. We will be there in two weeks, and I can't wait! Enjoy your stay!

We also stayed in the Turtle Pond area, and we loved it. Right across from the buses (on the other side of the road so no noise) and an easy walk to the main pool and Turtle Pond pool. We were in building 35 and had a view of the pond and fountain. Only complaint was that the A/C unit just outside the master on the first floor (1bdrm) was pretty loud. We'd request that building again but ask to be on a higher floor, keeping in mind that there are no elevators.

I've stayed there a few times. The one building I hated was 28. It's on a fairway and the view is heavy trees, which made the room dark.

My favorites were Turtle Pond 31, 37 & 43. I always request Turtle Pond, water view, first floor.

Be aware that except for 62, 63, 64, the buildings do not have elevators. I had a 2 bedroom one time on the third floor, it was a long way up with luggage. If anyone has problems with steps, I would request first floor.

we will be in OKW, 6 nights in Nov, just myself, DW and two daughters, older two daughters at university. First non park visit any suggestions?

We're here right now, love it. We usually try for rooms near the Hospitality House though.

We ended up in Turtle Pond building 43 and it was great! Great view of water and golf course! Just a few steps to the pool and close to the bus stop! Highly recommend building 43!

That's one of our favorites too! We love being near the quiet pool, the BBQ grills and Turtle Shack!

Also like 45 & 46 for the water views and #15 is the fave for GV's category!

We are here now in building 33 and my sis is in building 40 - both are great, and we each got end units for our one bedrooms, so we are up on the second floor, but no one above us - nice view and no running feet ever above our heads

I LOVE old turtle pond and have done the grand villa there the last two times down. Very quiet, heated pool, shuffle board and just gorgeous!
