Best Offsite Disney hotel???

DH has a conference outside of Disney and DD and I are coming along. He is willing to drive to the conference so we can stay near Disney and go when he is away. Any recommendations? We really need a 1 bedroom suite because we like putting DD (will be 1 week away from her 2nd birthday when we go in March) in her own crib in a seperate room from us so we can actually talk or watch TV.

If you won't have access to a car, you might be best off staying in one of the Disney resorts---a Family Value Suite at All Star Music, a cabin at Ft. Wilderness, or renting points from a DVC owner for a 1BR unit.

If that won't work, probably the next best option would be the Doubletree in Downtown Disney; they are an all-suite property. The bus service isn't quite as good as Disney's, but it is not bad. A third choice would be Wyndham Bonnet Creek. Their shuttle is probably adequate (though I personally would always have a car there.)

Last week we stayed 5 nights at Royale Parc Suites. They have 1bdrm suites, but we had a 2bdrm, and we found it always cleaned well every evening. Beds were SOOOOOO comfy, water pressure was decent (and HOT water always available), and the kitchenette worked out great for us.

It's just in front of Celebration FL on Hwy 192, very close to the main gate and a quick to/from drive. They have park shuttle service, but it's at specific times so you may do better to drive yourself for flexibility.

For a more quiet room, ask for the West or South side of the building... W faces a canal and conservation land of Celebration, and S faces a vacant motel. The N & E face busy carnival and traffic areas.
