OK, So I love to plan however, my DW will only let me Plan so much cause she thinks it takes the fun out of it, so I get 3 nights of ADRs and she gets 4 nights of whatever. Why she gets 4 and I get three i think I need not explain.

But Which is your favorite TS Restaurant to go to commonly not needing reservations, or at least very last minute ADRs. I know there are not many but lets see what people come up with...

Not sure if you want to make the trip there, but I thought Shutters was very good at CBR. The service was the best that we had all trip, the food came out quickly, and was good quality. I guess there's nothing "special" about it - nothing fancy about the decor, and no entertainment, but definitely a good meal.

When are you going? You may need to negotiate 'five for you, two for her'.

Then I'll make some suggestions :teeth:

last week in april. not a bad time for spring, according to touringguide.com

ESPN at the Boardwalk does not accept reservations. Captains Grille at Yacht Club and Raglan Road at DTD are usually not too crowded at lunch and early dinner.

You can usually get into Marrakesh, Biergarten, and Big River Grill without reservations.

I agree with Marrakesh and the Biergarten.

Sanaa at the AKL is usually available for lunch.

Many of the resturants at DTD are also not super difficult to get into on late notice.

Go early and almost anything is open...almost ;)

Turf Club at SSR. It's not usually *that* busy because it's kind of out of the way and our meal there was good (although we had a terrible waitress, but one visit with bad service won't turn me off a place forever).

Boatwright's at POR was dead last June. We got a table for 7 when we walked in. I must say half of us could not stand our food.

:)

We went end of Nov 2009-early Dec. Although we had all of our ADR's sometimes we did not feel like leaving the place we were to go so we had a few successful walk ups. Mostly in Epcot.
We went to Teppan Edo in Japan when they first opened up ( I think it was noon) and was seated in the first sitting with no problem. We were there when the door opened.
We also went to the rose and crown for a later lunch and it was only a 10 minute wait. We tried Le Cellier like 4 times but absolutely nothing!!! We thought we would at least try. But there were a lot of walk ups (Germany, Mexico, Liberty Tree Tavern in MK) that I observed while there. Captains Grill, Beaches and Cream (does not take ADR's).

Who's in your party? If it's just you & your wife, you could eat at the bars/lounges at most of the deluxe resorts. DH & I love to do that. Our favorites so far have been BlueZoo, Flying Fish & The Wave. It's nice to be able to just go whereever, whenever. We haven't been able to do that in years til we discovered eating at the lounges.

I've only ever done this once. We were able to walk in at Sci-Fi for lunch in the middle of July and get one of those "UFO" tables (round picnic tables). The food was good, but it would have been more fun in a car.

I applaude you for taking on the task of planning.
I'm usually the one who does everything and all of my
family just goes along with what I plan.
I always tell them that if they want to eat something good
I have to get an ADR for it so they don't complain.
We always pace ourselves on Vacation, I know their
likes and dislikes. DH likes to sleep in so I don't plan
an early Breakfast ADR and so forth.
