Sorry if this has been asked before, but I'd love to hear some reviews from people who have stayed at any of the Orlando Marriott Vacation Club villa rentals (Imperial Palms, Royal Palm, Cypress, etc.) They look great online, but I know sometimes those photos can be deceptive!
Thanks!

We stayed at the Marriott Grand Vista in September of 2001 in a 2BR lockoff and took a look at Cypress Harbour while we were there. Pictures on website are accurate. Lovely resort and grounds were immaculate. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

Thanks, Sharon! I love the look of the Grand Vista, but read that some kind of construction is ongoing there thru 2006?!?! I'll take another look at the photos...btw, if you stay at one of the properties, do you have to sit in on a timeshare presentation?
Thanks again,
Karla B,

We just stayed at the MGV this April and LOVED this resort.

There was construction starting on the opposite side of the huge lake there. When you pull up the long drive, you can see the construction way on the left and the units are presently in front of you and to the right. I just would request a building away from the lake if you are worried about noise. Traffic would not be an issue.

We were in bldg 91 and never heard a thing.

I would definitely return to this resort :Pinkbounc

I have also stayed at the Marriott's Grande Vista Resort and I loved it too.

Marriott is pretty good about showing you what you will get.

Cypress Harbour gets the best views and best rating on tug.

but I think they are all very nice.

Horizons is also part of the Marriott and the kids really seem to like this place.

Thanks for the positive reports! Hey, Lorix2, how would you compare MGV to Vistana? I noticed you've stayed at both of them...
Thanks again!

Karla -

Loved them both.

V.V. is a much smaller resort, but beautiful and immaculate .

MGV is a bit more upscale and much larger resort, many many more activities for adults & children. Immaculately kept as well.

Would recommend them both, but with a family, I'd go for the MGV.

Karla, my trip was a 4 day 3 night promotion and I had to sit through a presentation. Extremely low pressure. Told them I wasn't interested and that was that.
