My husband had an accident a couple of years ago and his leg never healed right and has back problems which he is having surgery for weeks before we are coming down to disney world. We will have a couple of days we are planning on going outside of disneyworld. What would you suggest is the most ecv or wheelchair friendly; busch gardens, universal or sea world.

Hi and :welcome: to disABILITIES!

If you click on where it says "disABILTIES" at the top of this page it will take you to the Index. One of the top items is the "disABILTIES FAQ" which will gives lots of useful information. Post #9 deals with Universal and #10 with Sea World and BG.

Or, if you want an easier route, click on the link in my signature.

One note about Universal...they have good accessibility as far as waiting in lines, restaurants, and stuff like that, but anyone who wants to go on the rides has to be able to transfer from their wheelchair/ECV to the ride vehicle. The good news is that most of the transfers are fairly easy, but some people get tired transferring all the time. It's a bit of a different set up than at Disney, where many rides allow you to stay in a chair (like Winnie the Pooh, Buzz, etc.)

A positive thing about Sea World is that they have lots of fun shows...you could do the whole day there without rides and still have a great time, assuming you like marine animals.
