Best MGM sit down lunch??

Did Sci-Fi last year, not overly impressed. DH is not interested in antics at PrimeTime. Would like to consider a sit down lunch for MGM since CS there is notoriously not good.

On dining plan - but at Brown Derby (2TS), figured we could split one meal since it is lunch. or Mama Melrose? or other places? Help?

We went to Sci-Fi in May. In the past, we thought it was just okay, but went for the atmosphere. This past May, both the atmosphere and the food were very good. Can't comment on the others, but you might give Sci-Fi another go.

If you like italian you can't go wrong at Mama Melrosa's! It's our favorite at MGM. Better food that Alfredo's at Epcot (in our opinion).

I don't like the restaurants at MGM. The themes are great, but the food is - . Brown Derby, ate there once and would not return. Mama Melrose - I agree its better than Alfredos, but Alfredos is bad and Melrose is just one notch above. Sci-Fi - I wish I thought of this concept, but the food is bad (I think that's why it's so dark in there!). 50's Prime Time - I make better (although their shakes are good).

I prefer counter service at MGM or better yet, hop a boat to Spoodles or EPCOT.

Oh, well. Me and my huge opinion will go elsewhere.

We park hop. I don't bother with the sit down's in MGM as (we feel) there are better choices other palces.

It doesn't take that long to get to another park, and we're usually only at MGM in the early morning when the park opens, or after dinner when the crowds thin.

Hollywood Brown Derby, it was awesome! I loved the cob salad. DH and I loved the atmosphere, and we went at 2 or so and it was so quiet, cool and nice. We will go back for sure each trip.

So far we have tried the Sci-Fi, 50's Prime Time, and Hollywood Brown Derby. We had a good time at all of them, but as far as the food goes, I would say the Brown Derby was by far the best out of the 3.

We love Mama Melrose. We go every trip atleast once when in MGM> It has good food, good service. Recommend!

Uh-oh! I may have to rethink my choices. I have PS at Sci Fi and Primetime! I thought the kids would enjoy the atmosphere. Should I change it?

I can suggest the only one I've eaten at which is Mamas Melrose. Since it was lunch when we went, DH and I both orderd pizza, so I can't comment on anything else, but they were both great. DH orderd the 4 cheese pizza, while I orderd the grilled chicken pizza. It is one of the restaurants we will return to when we go back this Sept.
