My husband and I are flying to Orlando, and staying at Riverside. What is the best and least expensive means of transportation from the airport to PO-R? Is it better to book a motorvan through Disney or wait and catch a ride from the airport when we arrive? Cabs vs. shuttlebuses? I don't know. Thanks a bunch for the advice!:sunny:

In my opinion, Tiffany Towncar is the best way to go. For two adults, Mears transportation may be less expensive, but I think the service from Tiffany is well worth the extra money. The Tiffany driver will meet you in bagage claim and load your luggage for you. With Mears, you lug your luggage over to their line then wait with hundreds of other people doing the same thing. I'll never travel with Mears again.

We used Mears for our trip to Riverside in May and had no trouble. We waited about 15 minutes for a bus, and there were no crowds and no problems.

We had no trouble carrying our luggage, and the Mears people were very nice.

We booked everything through our TA so we had vouchers for the travel.

Tiffany's is the way to go. You will save lots of time and aggravation!!!!!

Tiffany Town Car is awesome!!! I use them everytime!!!
definately hassle free! and the quickest way to get to your resort!
Mears stops at more than one resort, so it may take you a while to get to your resort.
with Tiffany, you have the best service!!! :)

only 7 days til WDW!!! yipeeeeeeeeee :D :D :D

We also have used Mears suttle in the past and will
never do so again. They make 3 stops to different hotels and then you have to wait for them to load at the airport and unload at the stops. We used a towncar company after that experience, I can't remember the name but they were fantastic. You also beat the crowds checking in.

I would also recommend the towncar service. We've also tried Florida Towncars. I like the fact that you get direct service from the airport to your hotel, and then from the hotel back to the airport. No other stops to make and no one else to wait for. We're a family of 5, so it is actually cheaper for the towncar service.

We just used Mears shuttle on Spring Break. It was terrible. We ended up waiting 45 minutes to 1 hour before we even boarded a bus and then like someone else said you might have to stop at multiple resorts before you arrive at your resort. Tiffany Town Car has to do a better job!! We will try them next time.

Just like everyone has said...there are so many perks to using Tiffany Towncar service. It's the only option for my family. Definitely worth the price!

Their website has a $5 coupon to save on a round trip.

Save yourself alot of hassle, aggravation & time. You won't regret it.

I guess the consensus is that Tiffany is the way to go. Do you know anything about the shuttle you can set up through the Disney web site? I know that is costs $54.00 where Tiff costs $80.00. Thanks again! Ya'll are a big help!

Bumping up to see if anyone can answer this. I'd like to hear about the Disney shuttle as well.

My DS won a trip to WDW once and Disney had a driver of a van there to pick us and 1 other group up at the airport. It was great. He had a sign w/ my son's name on it and he helped w/ the baggage and gave us a tour as we went to WDW. It was a wonderful beginning to our 1st WDW trip. Wonder if this could be the same kind of thing.
