Best Meals/Restaurants in Disneyland/California Adventure

my favorite in DL is Carnation Cafe for breakfast or lunch either one...

I dont have one in DCA....

Yes Carnation Cafe is so delicous I highly recommend it if you are in Disneyland. I really love the corn dogs on main street. You buy them from the little red wagon down by the hug/castle. Super delicous if you want a quick bite.

If you are at DCA then I would suggest the Wine Country Trattoria. Excellent atmosphere and great food.

But if you want something outside of the park, I would suggest going to either the Rain Forest Cafe or heading over to Mimi's on Harbor. Prices are reasonable and the food is excellent.

For sit down I too like Wine Country Trattoria at DCA. Love the Pizzetta Salad. :goodvibes

For counter service we like Pizza Port at DL. Pizza Ooh Mow Mow is similar but their salads are nothing like the ones at PP. My DD9 and I share the Chicken Fusilli-it's very good.

DCA has a severe lack of good CS. Now that Burger Invasion is closed (no more McD's) there's even less to choose from. We were there Tues. and thought about getting a hotdog and small chips at stand near Toy Story Mania but the dog and chips were so small, we decided on Pizza OMM. However, for some bizarre reason, it took at least 20 min. to get our pizzas even though there were only 2 people in front of me. The BBQ chicken pizza was pretty good, would have been better if hot!.

Stage Door in Frontierland has some pretty good chicken strips. You get 4 pretty big ones with fries for about $8. choice of several sauces. DD9 and I split this for dinner on Tuesday. Again, however, it took about 20 min. to order/get our food. And again, there were only 2 people in front of us.

Well, here's what I got:

Breakfast: Goofy's Kitchen Buffet. Whenever we go to Disneyland, it's a tradition. I love it!

Lunch: Plaza Inn, Main Street USA: I LOVE the chicekn and mashed potatos. Mmm-mmm!

Dinner: Wine Country Restaurant, Golden State: The scenery is phenomenal, food just as good.

:)

For CS, I would suggest Stage Door at Disneyland (or Golden Horseshoe if it's raining or you need some air conditioning) and Corn Dog Castle in DCA.

For sit down, I love the Plaza at Disneyland. We often get the Chicken Alfredo Penne for lunch and it keeps us so full that we can just have something light for dinner like a churro.

Also, for a free snack don't miss the Mission Tortilla Factory. It's a warm, happy, little present. It always makes me happy.

Does Stage Door sell the Mile High chocolate cake or is that ONLY served at Golden Horseshoe for sit-down meals?

We like the Taste Pilot's Grill. Their food is decent, and the service has always been fast. Their portions are really big, as well, so easy to share.

When we were there in August we had a great TS meal at Goofy's Kitchen (dinner) and we enjoyed Taste Pilot's Grill for CS.

Love Carnation Cafe in DL for breakfast and lunch (baked potato soup is super yummy!). The Plaza Inn for Breakfast with Minnie is good - good selection of food, good character interaction, and it's right in the park so it's convenient!

In DCA, we enjoyed the corn dogs :thumbsup2 and Taste Pilot's Grill was quite good.
