Name the best meal you ever had at WDW. And then name the worst. Let's go by the tastiness of the food, not the restaurant decor or service. Also, desserts don't count. :-)

Here to Restaurants Board thought you would get some solid info here. :goodvibes :wizard: :wave2:

This is a hard post!! I have so many happy memories of WDW, that it is hard to remember anything as bad...or as really good for that matter...my memories are of the people we were with and the fun we were having.

Here are some thoughts...
Didn't like Octoberfest in Epcot...not a big sauerkraut kind of person.

Uh oh...I can only think of one thought! Nothing really stands out for me as fabulous food...and we're talking years of WDW visits. I guess I really have to stop eating at Pecos Bills and Cosmic Rays and try some better restaurants! :rotfl:

Castle dinner was the best

Rose and Crown and Alfredo's tied for worst.

Worst was the pizza from ASMo. Never again.

My husband says the best meal he ever had in his life was in Japan. He had the steak and shrimp. I really , really like Morocco. Each time I eat there I'm impressed with each dish I order.

Best = Cinderella's Royal Table (FOOD, DECOR, & SERVICE!!!) princess:

Worst = Pop Century food court (I think they may serve rubber some days :rotfl: ) :rotfl2:

Best was Shula's in the Swan

Worst has to be the pizza that was delivered to my room. DS who is 6 refused to eat it, that was a first.

Worst by far was Beaches and Cream - the pits. I agree about the All Stars pizza - bad!
Best was the buffet at Akershus (before the characters)

Maggs

Best meal EVER??--our very first WDW meal at the old Papeete Bay Verandah. Had a Seven Seas Cocktail, Pigs and Prawns entree, scallops in lime and coconut as an appetizer. All with a great view of the Castle and entertainment by a 3 piece combo and a hula dancer. And I remember almost all of it, tho it was over a quarter century ago!! (9/1975 to be exact)
These days tho, it's any meal at V&A!!

Worst--probably Liberty Tree, when Mrs. U's chicken was served functionally raw on the inside.

worst - WWC all you can eat (or not eat in this case) skillet thing.

best - cheddar soup, prime rib, and, chocolate moose at Le Cellier.
(Im a steak and potatos kinda gal!)

Best meal would probably be the mac and cheese at Le Chefs de France or the veggie burger at Rainforest Cafe (yes, it was THAT good). Worst sit-down meal would be the veggie curry at Liberty Tree Tavern or the veggie couscous at Marrakesh.

I have not had any fine dining experiences at WDW--apparently the really great restaurants are at the resorts (Grand Floridian, Victoria and Alberts, Citricos, Tachtsman Steakhouse, etc.) and we always eat at the parks rather than resorts (not counting breakfast at the food courts!).

Best is tie between Flying Fish and Brown Derby-two of our favs.

Worst by far-Tony's!!! I've eaten MUCH better food at Olive Garden, TGI Fridays, and local pizza places.

I loved the Trails End Buffet in Fort Wilderness. I also am very partial to a meal I had in Japan at the Teppinyaki Dining Room. Worst? Funny cause it is the one I expected would be the best in Morroco. I love Hummus etc but this was just not as good as I can get around here. Of course South Eastern Michigan has a large Middle Eastern/Islamic population and amazing Hummus etc so it is not really a fair comparison.

The Best
DH: Beaches and Cream
Me: Yachtsman

The Worst:
Me:50s Prime time cafe
DH: Peppermarket at Coronado

Best - Teppanyaki at Epcot (good food includes entertainment by chef!)

Worst- counter service at Mexico (dry hardened on the edges tortillas with cheese sauce and not fresh made chips...). The margaritas however, are very yummy!

I have to agree with the past post here that I have never had an amazingly good dinner at WDW, but that wasn't what we expected. It is really more about the dining experience and the family time. I honestly think all of the restaurants we've tried have been at least fine, and usually really good. Maybe if we'd hire a babysitter and head over to V&A's we'd have an amazing dinner!

Best-lunch at CRT. This was before they made it a character meal. I'll try it with characters in November.
Worst-breakfast at Boatright's at POR, very rude server! But since I'm hoping she's gone, I'm going to give it another try in November. Also, I want to try those sweet potato pancakes.

Best meal would be at LeCellier. I've gone there 3 times and the meals I ate there were all very good.

Worst meal would be at Big River Grill on the Boardwalk. We tried this twice and the food was disappointing both times. If I had to choose a Disney owned restaurant, it would be our breakfast at CRT. I was very disappointed in the stuffed French toast.

The worst was Beaches and Cream. I ordered a turkey sandwich and it was absolutely disgusting. (slimy and thick turkey) My husband's steak sandwich was also bad.

The best would either be Le Cellier or the COncourse steakhouse.
