We are throwing around the idea of a no or limited park trip in July 2020. We know by then star wars will be open so that would be a must do, but we want a relaxed trip without being park commandos every day.

Ideally we want to book PVB, so a little pool time, trader sams, fireworks on the beach are on our list. Hitting one of the water parks will be a must seeing it will be July.

Tell me some of your favorite non park things you like to do. Could be a little obscure or not even on Disney property.

It depends on what you are into:
sports: golf, mini-golf, fishing, marathon, bowling, ESPN Club, WWS/ESPN Zone, etc
shopping: DTD, area outlet malls, large scale malls
drinking: Jellyrolls, Raglan Road, monorail tour of resorts, walking tour of resorts in the Boardwalk area
movies: DTD 24 screen theater some with meals served by waiters
night clubbing: Jellyrolls, Atlantic Dance, Raglan Road, Citywalk
resort tours: monorail tour of resorts, Boardwalk around the lake tour of resorts, horse drawn tour of FWC, AKL/AKV
offsite: Gaylord Palms Resort, Citywalk, swamp tour
    eating: Formal GF 5* Chef's Table @ V&As

One trip we didn’t have park tickets and picked a theme, ours was alcoholic drinks with animals in the name, and travelled around property trying to find and drink as many as possible. Lots of fun! We also like to just chill around the resort and do thinks like shuffle board or bocce. Staying at PVB you can pool hop to Grand Floridian, and Contemporary Resort on the monorail which we also have done.

Off property there are a lot of great escape rooms in Orlando. We enjoyed Escapology quite a bit one year. We also enjoyed The Vault in Disney Springs.

Great idea! On our recent trip we had a Cali Grill reservation and had some time to kill. We ended up out by the pool area playing ping pong.
