What would be the best option for a hotel near the Port of Miami? We are cruising out of Miami on the 18th and will only be staying the night before the cruise. Thanks in advance.

You looking for the best or one that is reasonable in price?

I know it might not be the "best value" but we're staying at the Hyatt Regency Miami, it is only .9 mile from the port so we're planning on just taking a taxi on sailing day, not everyone can afford a place like that but it is in the heart of the Miami port area. Just a suggestion.

That is where I was looking. I have some Hyatt points to use and they actually had a pretty decent Military and AAA rate! Thank you for the suggestion!

The Holiday Inn Port of Miami is also very nice, stayed there a couple of times, it's right across the street from the Bayside Market, which has plenty of places to grab dinner from, from a decent food court to sit-down restaurants. And it's < 5 minutes to the port ($10 - 15 for cab).

I like YVE hotel. They have a special package that includes a great buffet breakfast and transfer to the port of Miami. You can see the port just a short distance away. It's right across the street from the Bayside market place and there's also a cvs across the street too. We had a wonderful room with great view of the waterfront.

A couple of years ago we stayed at the Intercontinental Miami and really enjoyed it -- walking distance to Bayside and you can see the port from some of the hotel rooms. The Holiday Inn is also very popular.

We also stayed here. We got a killer deal ($90) on Hotwire and it was so convenient. It was great to have the playground right outside, too.

Another vote for the Intercontinental Miami. My husband had points, so it didn't cost us anything. Location to the port is great. We were given a room with a port view (my husband mentioned we were getting on the cruise the next morning and we hadn't told our son....total surprise for him). We could see the Disney ship from our room. Requested Uber to get us to the ship...he was there waiting outside. Easy peasy.

And for breakfast we just grabbed starbucks (pastries and coffee) in the hotel since we knew we'd be getting on the ship and have lunch!

Hello,we have stayed at comfort suites Miami north. great place to stay, free airport shuttle, free cruise terminal shuttle,
and free breakfast! enjoy:o

We have stayed at the Holiday Inn port of Miami and will be staying there again before our January Magic cruise. Bayside as mentioned is right across the street and is a good place to grab a bite to eat and people watch

I also stayed there and really, really liked it. Was in same situation as the OP (night before only). We easily walked along the water to the Bayside marketplace (plenty of restaurants and shops). It was really lively and fun for an evening out. There is also a park across the street from the hotel so you could spend time there if you have small kids. CVS was also a short walk away in case you need anything. Note they had mini fridge that charged when an item was removed so if you have little ones just set the ground rules before entering the room :) My DD took something out and we put it right back and let the front desk know. They were very nice and said it doesn't charge instantly (was like 30 or 60 seconds). The hotel was clean, very nice, and the staff was friendly.

we always stay at Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Miami Brickell Downtown, its close to stores and great restaurants.

We stay at the Embassy Suites by the Airport. They have a shuttle to the hotel and shuttle service to the Port. There are also restaurants and a Managers Evening Reception which wow, is pretty nice.

WE are sailing Jan 29th, and we are staying at Doubletree Grand. Prices are
high season. We are staying 2 nights with an average price of $300 per
night which includes taxes and resort fees on a $269 base room.
