I picked WL because, although I haven't gone solo yet, and I've only stayed at CBR and WL, I felt extremely safe there. I've been through the bus stops of several of the other resorts and just didn't get good vibes from them. It's smaller, for one thing, a lot smaller than CBR. The bus stop, Roaring Forks and the Mercantile were just an elevator ride and a short walk away. There were times walking through CBR were I felt like I was getting lost and all the foliage hiding the paths sometimes aggrevated my anxiety. I go alot by the "energies" surrounding me and WL, by far, has the calmest (if you'll pardon the expression) "aura". CBR is calm too, just not for a solo trip and Pop was an absolute explosion of energy (not bad, just not good for me if I plan on doing any sleeping!).

Huge fan of BWV's here and it will be the site of a solo trip I am toying with for June....

It is close to two parks, great places to eat (and people watch) and what seperates it from the other Epoct resorts... it's stumbling distance from Jellyrolls!

The Bel Vue room is great and so is Leaping Libations pool side bar.... (of course none of this applies if you dont drink... )

But now that I think of it the new Deli at BCV would be swell while traveling solo.....

Recently came home from a 2 week stay @ BWV and had the most incredible time. It is within walking distance of 2 parks and has alot of eveing action. Discovered Jellyrolls downstairs---the best time I've had at a club in the last 25 years!!! I'm a 49 y.o non-drinker and I ended up closing that place for the last 9 days of my stay. The staff was very friendly and did not have a problem with my just purchasing water each night. The piano players are incredible and I met numerous conventioneers from all over the world ( the Aussies are extremely friendly and polite). This is a not to be missed venue when staying at BWV or anywhere close by.

I would say any of the Boardwalk hotels, several different price ranges are available (although no moderates or values, but Swan and Dolphin can approach moderate rates) Walking distance to Epcot and you have all of the Boardwalk places available. Plus you are close to Downtown Disney.

I see you didn't list AKL as a choice. One of the things DW and I loved about the resort was the quiet, removed feeling. That and Jiko,a great restaurant for adults only, make it a good choice.

The GF - on a solo trip i'd have lots of opportunity to make use of the spa/exercise room that i don't normally get to use when i'm with the family.

And the CMs are so very friendly at the GF and so many of them have been there for a long time, so i feel very at home staying there.
