I would LOVE advice on where people would reccomend I look for my family of 6 to stay when visiting Disneyland. The kids ages are 10, 8, 5, 3. I'm very familiar with Disney World, but very clueless when it comes to Disneyland. I want to visit in the worst way

Depending on how close you want to be to the parks, there are lots of choices. How close do you want to be? On property? Walking distance? Driving/shuttle distance? Do you want a suite (e.g. with a kitchen) or 2 connecting rooms? (Lots of questions, I know, but they will help you get the best suggestions for your family.) For example, the Del Sol, across from the parks on Harbor, is simple and has rooms that can sleep 6. The Residence Inn Maingate (on Clementine) has suites that will fit your family. It is walking/shuttle distance, has great customer service, and a hot breakfast and manager's special in the evenings. There is an Embassy Suites in Garden Grove (about a mile south of the parks) that also has a hot breakfast and manager's special, a shuttle, and (usually) lower rates because it is further away. I think the Hyatt also has rooms that can sleep 6. Sorry, I'm blanking on the other nearby hotels. Try asking this question on the Disneyland (California) board -- this question gets asked a lot, so you should get good info. Also, look at this thread for great info: A DLR Guide for WDW Vets.
