Hi, guys!

What is your favorite hot sauce?

Currently, I like Hula Girl (which is smoky b/c it is Chipotle-Habanero) and Texas Pete or Cholula when I want a more acidic, traditional buffalo wing kind of taste.

Anyone else have some favorites?

I like my sauce and my women hot

That's easy, Busha Browne's Pukka Hot Sauce. Yummy!! This reminds me, I need to reorder.

Everyday sauce - Crystal Extra Hot. They also make a GREAT Extra Hot Wing Sauce! The best stuff ... I grow about 15 kinds of HOT chilis and make my own ...

Franks Red Hot Sauce is awesome and is the original sauce used to make Buffalo Wings. :cool1:

Ratza hot sauce.....we got it when we were in Disney Downtown .....House of blues.....this stuff is HOT and then they have hotter and then MIGHTY HOT

The best I've found is Franks. I like it alot better than Crystal. I can get through a bottle pretty quick. Next time you are sick add a few shakes to your chicken noodle soup.

I'm addicted to Boss sauce - it's a Rochester, NY thing and I'm addicted to it - it is YUMMY!

another one we use sometimes is .................----- and if I said the word I would be astericked out

for hotter, tabasco chipolte. for just some flavor, Tiger. It's hot, but has a nice hint of sweet in it; you can put it on anything.

I could go on and on.... in 1992 I sold my business... It was a hot sauce business / salsa business. There are so many FABULOUS hot sauces that never see a grocery store.

My favorite is from Jacksonville, FL called Trinidad XX HOT. They make a XXX that tastes the same and is hotter, but I can't take the heat like I used to!

I also like one called "Iguana" hot sauce.

OH, BABY! Try the Franks Red Hot Buffalo Sauce!!!!!!!!!! So buttery and smooth. I could be the spokesmodel for this delicious taste sensation. My case on "Deal or No Deal" would hold a gallon jug of this stuff. :happytv:

The Lime flavored one is so tasty, tooo...

mmmm... Frank... <imagining ' doing bad' things to the original 'Frank'>... :lmao:

i noticed the farther away from buffalo i get the worse wings (especially buffalo wings) get, is that just me?

Ok, now this one tatses HORRIBLE by itself, but you need SO LITTLE to make something hot, ya wouldn't believe it. Say ya make a 2 gallon batch of chili, and ya want it SUPER HOT.... you use 2 TEASPOONS of this in the whole batch and 98% of the people will not be able to eat it, that is how hot it is.

At one point this was the hottest hot sauce in the world.... @ $6.50 a bottle, it will last a lifetime!

BTW... a jalapeno is rated at 2500 - 5000 Scoville units. A Habanero is rated at 100,000 to 300,000 Scoville units. What that means is that one drop of the oil from the pepper needs to be diluted by 100,000 - 300,000 drops of water to be considered "neutralized", in the case of a Habanero.

I saw this dude on the Food Network once!! It was a special on hot sauce. There was a trade show or a festival for hot sauce tastings, and people had bottles of milk -- the enzyme in milk apparently breaks down the oils in this type of pepper...

Aw, man. Now my eyes are watering vicariously... :sad1:

I have actually met him twice. He lives or lived in San Francisco. He used to show up at trade shows wearing a straight jacket. Let's just say that Dave was "different". ;) :lmao:
